is this supposed to be funny or informative

sure prices are dynamic but if they want to tell you what is on the menu then they can give as you say sample prices it seems some sights like the Bernards Inn does not even do this. guess they are not appeling to people like me who bother to care about prices they must want those who feel price is no object - guess I'll have to stick to Wondees for great prices went last night - awesome thanks guys
-
I just looked at Bernards Inn website and I have seen others where they list the menu without prices. Now, I realize that some prices are subject to change but if they take the time to put their menu on the web why the games about not putting down the price.

How about Sonoma Grill do you recommend
-
Tina Louise Carlstadt - anyone know of this new place

Corso 98 has the best fish I have tried so far in NJ Italian and is very fairly priced. I am hoping to find more like this as the quality of Corso's fish is excellent and averages only 20 for a nice portion.

WHy do restaurants not just pay the servers more so we would not have this whole tipping debate. Sure our prices would be higher as consumers. I typically give 15% if good service - 20% for extraordinary problem. But restaurants always have the problem of "shirking" by clients A client from out of town, not on an expense account, even if they receive extraordinary service, is less likely to tip appropriately since this client will leave and likely not be back in the forseeable future. food for thought

Jason - by chance do you remember what you ordered at Tawaraya?
-
was Tawaraya empty when you went or was it crowded
-
name of the restaurant is Tawaraya. I believe I had read in a post somewhere else someone had been there. wondering if there is ever more than a few tables occupied as it seems so desolate. did not eat there just looked in

Rosie which do you recommend Brass Rail or Amanda's if you had to choose one thank you very much
-
I meant that there were only 2 tables of people or 4 people in the whole restaurant pretty depessing place We chose not to go after looking in
-
walked in last night around 7:30 after doing some shopping 2 tables To order food from a place like this to me is possibly not safe as the restaurant simply does not seem to do enough volume to ensure freshness Anyone been there and seen it busy?
-
Boat Man I was certain from the beginning that the restaurant server's knew this my thinking is since you have complaints we should know which restaurant you are referring to so we can All be Buyer Beware I also think the server should have been warned or even fired for taking such a dubious action

Where are the best places to go for a nice weekend brunch or a really good breakfast in a nice non-diner setting? looking for places within 25 minutes of Hackensack/River Edge area

tommy above you seem to say the restaurants made an honest mistake regarding the tipping now you say get it right or else - I am confused on your position?
-
or they leave it blank in case you forgot they added the 20%
-
if they do not do it on purpose Then can you answer why the restaurant when the tip is already added still gives you the credit card bill with the tip left blank and for you, the customer to fill in the total. If they wanted to make sure no one double tipped they could cross out the area where it says tip where you sign and put the total in themselves. Then there would be NO confusion. but they do not make this effort. why? for their own benefit is my belief I have never seen this. Never
-
i suspect that some restaurants do this on purpose Another trick that they do is they add the tip not only on the cost of the meal but they also include the tip on the tax so if meal costs 300 they will add 20% on 318 not on 300 sure it is only a dollar difference but the point is it should be on the meal excluding tax and they conveniently hope people will not notice, which most will not
