That BAT sandwich does look good. So good in fact that it gets a special waiver for the egg rule
-
Following the lead of many on this thread, especially Bruce, I made Omelete with Curry and a slice of marble rye bread

WOW! So many amazing meals. Here are a few meals from days past: Day Boat Scallop Crudo Za'atar fried chicken from Federal Donuts as talked about in NY times article. Served with pickles and a doughnut. The Korean chili sauce was my addition. Chicken and Shrimp Curry (combination of Parsi and Thai style) Bolognese and Bucatini A late lunch, early supper - Ruben sandwich Heated in a Panini press

Brilliant! Terrific idea - don't mind if I borrow it

Nice breakfast and view.

Been to Sbraga 4 times, including a private dinner for 54 guests. The food is innovative yet approachable and very well executed. The early service issues seem to be addressed. Wine list has some rare finds. Great restaurant which I would certainly recommend to friends.

Anniversary dinner in West Montco/Chester County area
percyn replied to a topic in Pennsylvania: Dining
This response might be too late...but will give it a shot. Its been a few years since I ate at Vicker's and based on that experience, I would pass. My recommendations would include: - Birchrunville Store Cafe - Gilmore's - Majolica - Alba - Duling Kurtz House - Kimberton Inn (on a good day) -
Thanks Katie, will have to try it soon.

Kim, I haven't had Hot Cross Buns in a looong time. Kouign, nice breakfasts and glad this is your favorite thread. RRO, that salmon and scallop crudo looks excellent, but for breakfast is missing the addition of a chopped hard boiled egg, which would make this an eggcellent breakfast
-
RRO, you made those XLB? They look awesome! What does one do with all the leftover Easter ham? Well...eat it for breakfast of-course. With soft scrambled egg on a mini-bagel. With fried egg on a biscuit.

Cool. Hope we get to see lots of good BBQ, shrimp n grits and other goodies. -
WOW! How do you stuff the quail with foie gras such that it does not melt out, or is that the point of the dish?
-
Happy to help Kim Is that an everything bagel?

Not to go off-topic, but I think it would be great if a few eGulleters could get together and do a BBQ crawl. I signed up for a KCBS (Kansas City BBQ Society) judging class next week, just for fun and would love to sample BBQ from various regions. Happy to rent a luxury coach for the roadtrip.

Kim, the Braciole was pre-made by the butcher, I just had to brown and braise. So many great meals here but have to give special shout-out to Bruce's beef curry and cucumber salad, EnriqueB's Tortilla de patata and consommé, RRO's pork belly and Soba's many spring creations. Patrickamory, do you have a more detailed recipe for the eggplant khoresh? It looks amazing and I have a bunch of eggplant to use up soon. And that Heavenly beef was just added to my must try list. Scotty, I will be in Napa next month. Would love to be able to find time to make it to Oakland to taste your amazing food. Yesterday's dinner was Sous Vide pork roast which I pan seared with sweet potato puree, asparagus and mushrooms.

Is that called breakfast?
-
No, I don't have anything against vegetables or vegetarians Truth is, I was out of lettuce for dinner as it typically is eaten in this household for lunch.
-
Thanks dcarch! Nice meals again all. Fabulous presentation again Max and darch. RRO - love those prawns A few days ago I made Classic shrimp cocktail (no bed of lettuce) Braciole with orecchiette.
-
Thanks Scotty, coming from you, it means a lot. Today, I made Sauteed Oyster Mushrooms and Scrambled Eggs

Great meals all! All these Pastrami posts made me put a brisket in the bath...sous vide water bath that is. Will hopefully be ready tomorrow. Kate, nice kedgeree. I usually make some with shrimp and rice but like the idea of cauliflower. Max, beautiful plate as always. Are those oysters and ramps? Now for some not so beautiful plates... Leftover Chicken Biryani and Lamb Dhansak (spicy lentil based stew) I made as part of a Nowruz feast for a few friends. Rotisserie Chicken w/Mashed Sweet Potatoes and Butternut Squash
