  1. And this recent thread featuring Mutual Fish: http://forums.egullet.org/index.php?showtopic=43050 And an article from the P-I about buying off the Boat at Fishermen's Terminal: http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/food/157365_fish21.html
  2. I had the omelet at Maximilien for lunch recently. It was so awesome.
  3. Cassis is one my favorite places. I hate that the whole thing crumbled. This is very sad news.
  4. I also want to remind the lunch-goers (because she's too nice) that girlchow has our reservation secured with her credit card, so if you can't come for some reason, please let her know several days ahead of time. Thank you.
  5. Just wanted to bring this back up to the top since it's NEXT WEEK.
  6. Otis on Boren near Madison is closing its doors. It was a laid-back place with good coffee and panini serving a lunchtime crowd on First Hill. Perhaps it was done in by the brand new Subway and Blue Water Taco.

  8. I just found this thread. My most unforgettable bartender is Alberta at the Orbit Room in SF. She has an unbridled passion for mixing and researching vintage cocktails, and I appreciate her immensely.
  9. I made mine last night and was not pleased. They don't have much flavor, and the texture, well, I'll just say I wasn't happy with it and leave it at that.
  10. Yep, but I couldn't help myself, and that's what we're having for dinner tonight.
  11. I was just in the Int'l District, and Top Gun has closed. I'm very surprised, as this place was really popular and considered by many Chinese people in this city to serve the I.D.'s best dim sum. Someone on the street told us that it moved to Factoria.
  12. Will do. That does sound good, and the Cherry Heering needs to be used up anyway.
  13. A few of us tried the Blood and Sand a few weeks ago using that recipe, and none of us liked it enough to make it again.

  16. The Silver Cloud is almost right next to The Garage, a very fun and friendly bar (and I oughta know) where you can shoot pool or bowl. Their food is decent too.
  17. For breakfast on Capitol Hill, try El Greco on Broadway and Glo's (go early) on Olive Way.
  18. If I could, I'd open a place with a really large selection of Belgian beers (like Hopvine in Chicago) and serve mainly mussels and frites.
  19. We also had poached eggs on our benedicts at St. Cloud's that were very overdone, even though husband specifically requested "very soft" (and I heard it relayed to the cook). So, they definitely need to fix that. But it was quite tasty and they use high-quality ingredients.
  20. I suggest that you start a new thread on that worthwhile subject, if you're actually interested (which I can't tell based on the insulting tone of your post).
  21. Do you remember how much? They raised all of their prices in late April (but beware of what the label in the display says compared to what they actually charge you--it's often different).
  22. I can't do it on May 28, but June 4 is good for me.
