I made a big batch of sausage rolls for my kids Lunch Boxes this afternoon and toddled off to other housework whilst they cooled. Something was lost in communication and a Free For All ensued. Lunches became Dinner.

    All that Remained.

The last of the red sauce over zoodles, made on the spiralizer attachment for the Kitchenaid Stand Mixer and my recently acquired angel hair blade.  Served with salad and fresh cherries for dessert.

Killen’s Barbecue in Pearland! There was a bit of a line, but 25 minutes later...

...Pulled Pork with Slaw on a Toasted Bun. And a few minutes after that, the Onion Rings were brought to our table.

Well worth the wait! And I brought home a pound of their Brisket for dinner tonight!

I'd drive to Texas just to eat that meal!

Breakfast this morning for me was a cheese and tomato toasty. As you can see the best part of the cheese is the overflow on the foil. I considered serving it on the foil but relented and managed to get it onto a plate without too much damage.

    Potato Bake for dinner.

I know one traditionally serves Potato Bake with ... well something.

I am not a traditionalist, and Potato = Life.

    Hirekatsu & Tonkatsu Sauce.

As with all of my forays into food of other cultures I've never tried authentic versions of - If I've really cocked it up, refer to my working title:

Panko Pork Snitz, Naked Slaw & Bbq + Sauce 😁.

I realise it would look all the more authentic if I had sliced the pork and drizzled the sauce. However every time I do that, I listen to the monologue about how my husbands not a child and still has all his teeth and can cut his own meat .... 🙄20180715_202526.thumb.jpg.c21c8cc1e45b3be3d83f8db0de949ff1.jpg

CCST stop being so hard on yourself, this meal looks awesome! Do we need to come down there (yes) for an intervention?

I must say that's one of the best uses of flight delays I've seen - kudos!

it was 112°F here yesterday.  We got a cool-down to 80°F overnight, but it's already started to heat up again so at 6 AM,  a Paleta de Café con Leche was in order.
