I like the hot chocolate at Fran's in the U-Village. There's a rich dark chocolate taste and my fav hot chocolate drink.

Where to get good Pho/Udon? Thanks!

In Seattle, do you know where I can find good Chicken Soup? What about your fav. chicken soup recipes? Thanks!

Some of us only drink plain water though. Personally, I dont like drinking alcohol, soda, sugared water etc and plain water is just what I drink most times.

Dimsum at one of the Chinese restaurants in the Int. District is always good. It also depends on how the kids are raised as someone else pointed out. The more exposed they are, the more likely they are to want and try new things. Most of my Irish friends are really boring when it comes to food. They dont eat anything that is not meat/potatoes. Definitely check out dimsum and maybe noodles.

Yea, the Maui Sweet Onion chips are amazingly good! Fortunately, their high sat fat content keeps me from eating them much. :) I dont really like the Alder bbq or smoke chips.

My fav is the "Maui Sweet Onion" chips. Try those out if you havent, it's the best flavor!!

Ahhhh.... You guys are making me really hungry reading about all these great dishes!! Been over 6 years since I last tasted otak, grilled stingray, hokkien noodles... Eating out in Singapore is actually quite inexpensive! But be sure to eat at the hawker centers or food courts and not in the restaurants. The hawker center food is excellent for the price. I love and wish to have: 1. Hokkien noodles 2. Fish ball noodles 3. Laksa 4. Won ton noodles 5. Chicken rice 6. Chicken Briyani 7. BBQ chicken wings 8. Otak 9. Nasi Lemak

Where can I find some good Apple Pie? I'm somewhat in the mood for them. :) Thanks!

You can also take digital pictures of the front and underside of the mushrooms and send them to the UW mycology dept for ID. They helped me out with mushroom identification a few years back. Mushrooms are tasty!! The earthy ones are awesome when cooked properly.

Try the seafood fried noodles(Hong Kong crispy style) at Jade Garden in the ID. The servings are very generous and relatively cheap. Very tasty too! On the Eastside, the same kind of seafood fried noodles can be found at Cafe Ori. Used to go there all the time when I was working on the eastside.

Do you like congee? "Mike's Noodle House" has great congee. I like their rock cod congee. Green Village Express also has cheap good food although they tend to be a bit greasy. Around the corner on Weller and 6th/7th is Cantonese Noodle House which has good Wonton noodles. I like their shrimp/pork wonton noodles. Sichuanese Cuisine on Jackson and slightly before 12th Ave has great food. Love their fried spicy beef noodles.

For any Tully's items that has chocolate, you can request for them to use Fran's chocolate sauce instead of the regular Hersey's.

I love Milo!! When i was a kid, i would drink tons of Milo, especially the cold ones since the weather was tropical year round.

Speaking of shrimp, just some OT... Sonya Thomas, a 105-lb woman ate 5.3 pounds of shrimp in ten minutes.

The ones at Pike Market are really good too. I used to get my peaches from the fruit store on the same side as Lowell's and they were just as good as the Frog Hollow and Pence peaches. Unfortunately, it's a pain to park at the market and I dont go there often now.

Bought some as well and the Frog Hollow ones are amazingly good!! Admiral Thriftway had both peaches out side-by-side for taste tests and the Frog Hollow wins!

If you want a really good chocolate shake, go to a Fran's store like the one in the U Village. They make an amazing chocolate shake. Super yummy! Been a few years since I had one but it shouldnt have changed. ok, back to my chocolate fudge brownie ice-cream.

Frappucinnos are too sweet for me . . . like drinking pure sugar. Ugh... Tully's espresso shakes are still quite good but somewhat fattening. :) I also like the chocolate shakes from Fran's and made from awesome dark chocolate but they are a little thick. They only have them during the summer though.
