    daSto

well good for gillian. she's got my respect.
  4. oh yeah! i forgot the provolone. and mayo and spicy mustard. i tend to be purist with that particular sandwich - no veggies of any sort. i haven't had one in a long time, actually. since i moved south, actually. another favorite is a pastrami on pumpernickel (don't like rye) with mustard.
  5. tzatziki i think. as far as italian meat combos, my favorite is genoa salami, hard salami and pepperoni.

  9. oh....they drink a lot of coffee too? we're gonna have to add that to the diet. maybe with the cigarette.
  10. mine's definitely got to be use the best quality ingredients that haven't been messed with by man too much. and support those who create those ingredients so one day frankenfoods will go away.
  11. well i suppose if you want to call a bulk-former a laxative you can. if the NIH says. i dunno when i think of laxative i think of toilet seat agony. in any case - i can see how psyllium could be used to treat diarrhea. the fiber is going to soak up whatever liquid is available for it soak up. kinda like oats or apples for diarrhea. the gluten/pectin draws water and binds things together.
  12. i like the swimming and sex in the mediterranean bit! definitely seperates our plan from the others out there...
  13. actually psyllium is just fiber. the bulking action it has on the stool encourages peristalsis, but it doesn't stimulate the bowles directly. magnesium can be a laxative tho, but it's a good way of balancing out the calcium in your body, since they are antagonists.
  14. hmm...so so far: they eat better quality food. they eat less of it. they walk more. and they smoke more. well alrighty then.
  15. rushina - what makes kitchen king different?
  16. 3 rows at a time. all the kernel has to come off otherwise it's sloppy, and i also use the carriage return method.
  17. hah. typically grwoing up, we would bring in the groceries, and empty all the bags on the kitchen table. anything that was to be stored for future us, got put in a little storage area in the dining room. (stuff like grnaola bars etc). well for some reason, because someone hadn't been paying attention a package of chicken breasts got stuck there. well for the next couple days or so it started to rot and it had a wierd sulfurous dirty baby diaper type smell. well coincendentally enough we had some workmen doing repairs or wall-papering or some such thing during that same time period. my mom thought the workman must have stunk and the lingering smell was from him, and i can't even begin to think what he thought of the way our house smelled. anyway, it finally got noticed and removed.
  18. i'd got one step further and add a little cayenne.
  19. run under cool water, slather on 100% aloe gel, go on about your business. that's my remedy anyways.
  20. perhaps it's a bun of some sort?
  21. do you like halo?
  22. ease off the calcium and switch to magnesium for a few days. also rather than treating the symptoms of the acid - might be good to find the underlying cause (food intolerances/allergies and whatnot)
  23. id get the entire setup, unless you have a pot that can snugly fit the idli mold stand. also i'm surprised pressure cookers haven't been mentioned.
  24. i don't know. it just sort of reminds me of the anecdote that kim jong-il eats sashimi straight off a still-living fish.
