i think this explains why it's so hard to find food from the 80s

there's also crepes. i remember a while back we were brainstorming for 80s style desserts, and i remember someone suggesting a cake with that Nagel print from the Rio Album cover airbrushed onto it.

sushi is definitely a keeper. buffalo wings? avocados? were the avocado commercials the 80s or the 70s?

actually i went on a little hunt around here just for you tommy - i tasted some sparkling lemonade from Lorina a few weeks back when we had product samples. they might be a very worthwhile option - not to sweet, fairly lemon-y and bubbly. you should be able to find it at whole foods or something.... http://www.nehi.com/lorsparlem.html

any gravy works for me gg - brown, turkey (no giblets please), mushroom, red eye, milk, sausage....... one of my best meals ever was toast and kipper snacks with mushroom gravy.
