I was thinking for people that are new to using a scale for baking or for odd items that I don't already have measurements for, this link on Gourmet Sleuth might be useful when converting recipes.

Yes, this is a great site. I've double checked their weights for many ingredients and they've been accurate so far.

I found this web site yesterday and used it to convert a recipe. It was very easy to use. The search function narrows down ingredients by category (for example, I was searching for rolled oats and had a choice of "grains" or "snacks" such as granola bars, among others.) Nutritional information is also provided.

It's also pretty handy when you want to increase or decrease a recipe by an odd amount, like three-quarters or one and one-third.
