did want to ask was whether people had noticed a difference in quality between Memphis on broadway and Memphis on commercial.  I DID recall that memphis on commercial had bigger portions, jucier meat and moist chicken.

I've never tried eating chicken at MB (out of fear of incurring some kind of wrath) but yes, I did notice a difference. I used to live very close to the commercial drive MB. It seemed more like how the BWay one was originally. But still not quite as good as in the beginning.

Was listening to the radio this evening and heard a commercial for a rib joint on Lougheed. The name didn't stick with me but i'm pretty sure that it's relatively new. Anyone been there yet?

In any case, this thread is making me hungry. The last time I had some decent ribs was at Fatzos on West Broadway some 5-6 years ago or more. I don't think it's there anymore.

Someone needs to open a RUB franchise here in Vancouver. Righteous Urban Barbecue.

Haven't heard that one yet. Wonder if it's another chain restaurant like so many of them located along that stretch, or the real deal? :hmmm:

There's many a rub business located in and around Vancouver. Not that righteous however.

It's called Kansas City Bar-B-Q Shack. Haven't been, but it's in the Lougheed Lanes ... aka Rev's Bowling Alley ... 5502 Lougheed Highway. Apparently they have an all-you-can-eat BBQ on Thursday.

Anyone brave enough?

I havn't been to memphis is what must be 5 to 6 months now...

Once Alex learns how to handle his Weber you may never go back

I'm still trying to work out the kinks with the combination of cooking times, rubs and tempertures. I've made passable ribs but I think they can be improved...

I have been to Kansas City Bar-B-Q Shack but I thought it was just OK. The pulled pork was decent. Of all the BBQ places that I've tried locally, my favorite is the brisket at Memphis. I think it's their best item on the menu.
