Fullers London Pride Ale

I'm not sure that they import the London Pride to the USA. It is an excellent beer on cask, but you are even less likely to find that in the USA. (if cask ale is what you seek then there may be somewhere that occasionally carries it, depending where you are in the South).

The 1845 is their best imported bottle. It's bottle conditioned (I don't think that bottled London Pride is) and it is a little higher in alcohol. Depending where you are you should be able to find it. Here is a good site for shipping - if you want a few cases of British Beer:

Belmont Station

They don't seem to have the Pride but carry most of the other Fullers brand. You need to order a few cases to make it worth the shipping.

Thanks for the information. I got an email from Fullers and they tell me that its available in Alabama of all places so on my next trip that way I'll grab some.

London Pride is an excellent beer on cask, indeed. Bottled London Pride found here (NE USA) and casked London Pride are an entirely different animal.

Wes, if you can afford an occasional trip to London, by all means go. You won't find that kind of ale here (yet).

I'm lucky living in England as my local serves good Pride. The best place I know is 'The Victoria' in London between Paddington station and Lancaster Gate tube station. If your ever over give it a try.

Pride seems to be remarkably and consistently good, at least in the SE of England. Like Clive I've experienced a bit of guilty pleasure at this thread - I actually live above a pub that serves the stuff...

I sympathise with the Americans here - although I must admit that reading the beer forum has disabused me of the notion that all American beers are bland watery fizz - if/when I go back there I must try some of the micro-brews.

I really haven't noticed if we have London Pride Ale here in OKC, because I prefer Fuller's Vintage Ale! I have a closet full of the Vintage Ale. One of out local liquor stores had the 2002 vintage priced at $3.59/bottle, it normally sells for close to $6/bottle around here, so I snatched up 18-20 bottles. Need to go back and see if he has more! :raz:

I love the entire Fuller's line. They are available in many beverage shops here in the D.C. area.

Reviving a virtually dead thread. After spending a week plus in Chiswick, home of Fuller's, I sampled my share of Fuller's brews. (37 pints in 9 days total, not all of them Fuller's, though.)

The best pint I had was the Chiswick Bitter pulled at the Mawson Arm's, the company pub at the Griffin Brewery on the Thames. They had the best lines and the casks were perfectly kept. (The landlord said that that barrl had just been filled that morning - whether or not that's true I have no idea.)

Anyways, I was curious if anyone knew if Chiswick Bitter, or perhaps their new Honey Dew Organic Ale, is available in the US?

Obviously preferred in the cask, but bottles could be OK, too.

Very fond of Fuller's myself.

As far as I know, Fuller's is available on cask only very rarely here in the US by special arrangement only.

The only bottles I've seen here in CA are the Pride, ESB, Vintage Ale, 1845, and Porter.

Haven't had the Honey Dew. Is it similar to Young's Waggle Dance? I have tried that and didn't much care for it.

eje - I have not had Young's Waggle Dance - I'm not the biggest fan of the Young's beers. I picked up a couple of bottles of Pride and 1845 yesterday, will try a different beer distributor for the others. (They'll order anything if you pay for a case.)
