Another boiled peanut lover here!

and in the rarefied NC triangle, they are occasionally

available in the farmer's market, but not that widespread

elsewhere, believe it or not!

My wife visits her family in South Carolina each year and she brings serveral pounds home on the plane---the GREEN ones. I even freeze some after cooking in salt water and eat thru the year!! good stuff.

Cooking is chemistry, baking is alchemy.

They really do freeze very well. I usually try not to steep them as long after cooking if I plan to freeze, because they seem to get saltier with time and storage.
