As an aside to the trademark fighting; I think those are 2 of the stupidest names for a wine.

Yeah, but is anyone dumb enough to buy a $17 South African and think they're getting a good deal on a Côte Brune? If they are, then they're not in a position to damage the "brand".

The INAO is being as lame as the EU telling the Friulians they can't say Tocai Friuliano because someone might confuse it with Tokaji. Uh, no, that's just not going to happen.

As opposed to calling something from Wisconsin a Camembert, which will confuse people to the detriment of the brand.
