Does anyone know if it's legal to send beer in the mail? Was thinking of sending a friend some local brew.

Interesting question. This usually comes up with respect to wine and there's a great summary of the law here:

Whether the laws for beer and wine are the same, I do not know. Maybe if you e-mailed the Wine Institute people they'd be able to tell you. And then you could tell us!
