Upside Down Apple Pecan Pie

Serves 8 as Dessert.

  • 1 c chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c brown sugar
  • 1/3 c melted butter
  • 15 oz 2 ready pie shells or your own
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 2 T flour
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 6 c sliced & peeled apples

Preheat oven to 370*. In a 9 inch pie pan combine pecan, brown sugar and butter spread evenly in bottom of pan, cover with a pie crust.

In a large bowl combine remaining ingredients and put on top of first crust in pie pan, put second crust on top, fold edges of both crusts together to seal. Bake 45 minutes or until crust is brown, cool 5 minutes, place plate on top invert, and allow to cool 1 hour.
