Krug - NV more expensive than Vintage?

During a recent trip to Europe i noticed several restaurants selling Krug Grand Cuvee NV at nearly twice the price as some vintages? (i can't recall exact vintages but i can't imagine they were bad!)

Any idea what this might be about? It wasn't Clos De Mensil either. I understand Grand Cuvee is a blend of previous vintages but i can't recall ever seeing vintage Krug being sold at a similar price as Grand Cuvee in a shop!
