Shit, you are right....we thought it was on the TC...oh well, it was a on while ago....its interesting to see what people are saying on other web sites ....its funny how mean people can be from the safety of thier computer....oh well...guess I better get used to it.....but I will actually defend myself, so some might be suprised at the answers to the posts.... I am all cool with honest critics and real feedback....and actually listen to it as I think it can only make things better....thats why I like this board here so much, as well as goodeatsfan page...its civilized Chris

The steak house was crowded until it came time to eat....we had to set up lights etc....which Katie and Sandy can tell you in not a short process.... Joyful house was on a travel channel show...I am pretty sure its the first time for food network....I know that they could use the business which makes me feel good as I know they will be getting some from the show..... I know all the places I took Alton too in feasting got really busy after it aired....

The food was as it was served....none of those guys have food stylists...we make sure the plates are clean and the food is fresh for camera, but thats it....I loved the thai lobster presentation....The last 2 segments are the shortest aned thats due to the times we are given per segment....the bbq is behind Bally's....on Koval...

I just got to work at the police station and checked in to the thread....now I have a big smile on my face!!! Thank you so much for all the support....it was really nerve wracking the last few months...I really just wanted to make a show that people liked and makes people hungry, and at the same time gives exposure to those who need it like chefs and little hole in the walls.... What did you guys think of the 5 restaurants as opposed to only 3 ?

The chicken fried lobster was the best.....but everything was amazing...funny thing about the 59 caddy...it broke down right after we passed the camera and had to be towed away!

The chinese place is awesome...what we couldnt say is that the dad is also the exec at MGM's chinese restaurant....and I get my shirts from highseastrading.com Chris I have about 40 shirt and use almost all of em in the show

Well guuys what did you think?...Vegas was the pilot,I was still a bit green....but it was a blast to film and I think it came out well.....

We were slammed....we shot till after 1 am last night , then shot again at 8 am, then flew to Houston where I am now.....all the owners of he places were fantastic except 1 (who will remain nameless) .....I just wont be going to his place for a hot dog again....the food was good though.... Calvins BBQ, Myron and Phils were both the best places.....Myron and Phils was unreal, what a bargain for a fantastic steak dinner....if you live in Chi town...go there!

Kady (the woman judging w us) wass the best and she was stone sober...we had a blast....they cut a lot of the banter and arguing w JEffery.....it was really close let me tell you....there was so much smoke in there from the fires on flays side...the flames were huge!....Chef Bull was amazing, I would kill to eat that menu again...I did get a call today about going to the Austin Food Festival in April....might have to go check that out....

about some of the food, it was pretty good....oh well....they have to edit out stuff and it didnt make it in....it was fun to judge the battle...I gave flay 1 point in presentation more than bull....

← You are kidding me right? 25K per show? not even close, try a number between 2 and 5!.....I love it when folks think that just because you are on TV you are rich.....that is so not the case....there are long contracts and you do not have the advantage when you negotiate.... People need to make a living, TV is not a living unless you are a huge celeb or do your best to reap any benefit from it, while keeping your ethichs and integrity intact as other attempt to smash it.... Nuff said, I gotta go film now...

Let me say this...the food was so good, I would have flown out to Austin to go to the party at the Driskill...damn, now I am hungry....but in Chicago filming!

It was a great battle....and everything tasted as good as it looked...and some dished even better!...oh yea...fire...major fire!

We are down to the wire...leave for Chicago at 7 am....so tired...lost about 15 lbs so far on the shoots....

Tony has some interesting things in store for him out here in L.A......should be fun to watch....

So are dope dealers now gonna be "slinging foie gras" on the street corner to needy chefs just like they sling crack? ...I can see it now, crack head to fellow inmate in chefs outfit. Man what you in for? Possession..., rock? No foie gras, says the chef....damn, you going down says the crackhead. I did some intel gathering when I was here earlier...the curry place got axed.....Bleeker St was told to me by the guys working the subway maint detail, a few cops and some young employees at food net....we just did dinosaur bbq....really really good!

dont know where we are going yet inDC and are not going to San Fran this season (we didnt get to choose the cities)...

I saw one of the ad's, it was cute...I know that have about 5, including a cool black and white 40's detective nior style one.... I am off to NYC in the morning to shoot that show, then on to DC....you folks are all welcome to come watch and or be in the background...drop me an e mail if you want location times.....hope you guys like it, we found some great places....

Iron Chef, Hungry Detective is supposed to be the 17th....

OK, just talked to FN and they said its going to air Oct 8th, I cant wait....but I am gonna get so hungry again watching that tasty food...man it was good!
