    Rao's

Had no desire to go before this thread, no desire to go now. ( Though if someone had a extra seat I'd be the Designated driver, actually on 2nd thought I'd pay for a designated driver). Frank IS good as the FBI agent in charge, though we haven't seen him since early in the 3rd season when they were bugging Tony's basement. Maybe if I recomended Frank for a Emmy next year I can a table at Rao's. My car needs a waxing anyway.
  2. Due to time constraints, we won't be able to make it. Hope everyone enjoys
  3. The Jewish holidays are not next week. I know. The holidays fall when I take my sabbatical down the shore for two weeks in late Sept.

  6. Who? Rosie, Lowell, Joe or myself? Seriously, Sue and I or I myself would love to dine with Joe. or Rosie or.......
  7. Rosie, not enough wine and there were only men at the bar. Not a powerful combination in my mind. But, given the right opportunity, I'd be down to nothing but the blender and a extension cord.
  8. By the way, The Rock is already comfortable with the chef's standard photo pose. I see a future.
  9. Put bloodshot eyes on the sandwich to match the pinkness of the beef and the resemblence to Tommy is quite canny. PS, David, thanks for taking the time to take the pictures.
  10. About as much mystery here as Carlton the doorman on Rhoda.
  11. Ahhh, you used to say that about me. Come to think of it, you probably still think that about me. (Edited): because I have a good buzz.
  12. S**t, got there too late. I'll have to wait for the story.

  15. Oh boy, you are just winning me over. I happen to agree with you on The Post's influence on the dining public. Not everyone dines 4 star every night of the week. Unless you're P. Diddy.....
  16. Hey, I love Page 6 in the Post, along with the sports section. Steve Cuozzo is actually a decent food reviewer, I find his reviews on Weds pretty much on the spot. Yeah, The Post is a tabloid, but it's mine since i was 5.
  17. i can. when you're making a joke. happens all the time. and i assume that's what happened there. people who are laid back and bust balls are often misunderstood by those who are uptight or take life too seriously. not that topher is like that, but, you know. You beat me to it. I assumed Rocco knew they were Topher's friends and was trying to make light of the situation. Rocco seems to have an offbeat sense of humor, which was a welcome relief from the whining and problems. I have heard Stasi pronounced "stah-zi" before. Of course, I may have just heard Howard Stern mispronounce it Stasi is actually humorous in the Post and I read her review when it came out. She didn't like the food, service or atmosphere. She liked Rocco though. She didn't beat him bad. How does this dude sleep at night. This shit has to eat at you. Ugggghhh!!
  18. i'm not saying that he should have made that joke. but i am suggesting it came across to me as a light-hearted jab. Nope
  19. O.K. It's the 5 of us. I'll get back to you as I plan a little menu for us. Anyone else?

Tommy, sorry dude. We don't throw the wait staff under the bus when thing aren't working, at least owners who know what they're doing. This episode reminded me of the " Jump the shark" episode of Happy Days. This show is not how it works. I'm Out
  21. Too late, I started when Bobby Flay had Particia Yeo From AZ on Hot off the Grill. I started drinking when the Chinese strings started on the jazzy background music every two minutes when Bobby didn't know what he was cooking.
