  1. Agree about Louie's, don't go except for cocktails, great presentation but medicore food. Shula's was very good. Hard Rock Cafe for Pig Sandwich can't be be beat. Have to take a look at my notes but there are two other places I liked.
  2. I must say the lack of response from those who dined with me this weekend worries me. Makes me worry that those that dined weren't all that pleased. If this is the case let me know. I can't correct what wasn't right unless I know. I'll still cocktail with you if it wasn't all up to snuff. Lou
  3. Let me give a little thought to this. It might take me a few days to come up with a site but Fink's BBQ gives me incentive from what I've heard.
  4. Much thanks to the 3 egulleteers that dined with me over the weekend ( and cocktailed with me). I hope you enjoyed the restaurant as much as I enjoyed the company. Now if we can do it on a weeknight so Sue and I can join you that would be great. Or somewhere else would suit me as well. Lou
  5. Rosie, Reidel puts out a special restaurant glass that is actually dishwasher friendly. On a 3 case deal from Lauber Inports they come to approx $4 a glass. I made the decision to use them for wines on my special selection list only because I don't have the room to store them for every wine on my list. They are somewhat larger then my regular glasswear. Lou
  6. Really, all I want is the bloody listing. Everything else is moot. By the way, I finally hit 300!!!
  7. Example Sh***ers Rt 17 East Rutherford F D S C 4 27 -2 $140 " An enjoyable late evening spot for those who have consumed much to begin with" Also the finest Absolut vanilla vodka in Jersey. A must is the easily cooperative DJ's who play requests .
  8. Ugh. Sorry Rosie, I brought this up last week and Rachel was kind enough to move it to Food & Media I believe.
  9. Coming soon to a theater near you. The Rock II
  10. I refuse to be offended. You may keep trying though.
  11. I would also like to thank Nick for the warm gesture. Perhaps we can get him out from behind the stoves one evening. Lou
  12. Had a great time last night. Now on to new and better things. How about lunch in the city? Anyone up for that? Anyone that wants to join us are obviously welcome. By the way, anyone out there a bailbondman? If not I have a AAA card. Not to be confused with a AA card.
  13. I'm still laughing this morning at the Jeckyl & Hyde act The Rock pulled as soon as the cream spillled and the buca hit his throat. Must have been the night air. Tommy, love the avator. Lou
  14. Can't wait to give you the bill tonight.
  15. The Rock is my hero. I just put my order in for a XL Manson shirt. Ahhhhh, the beautiful people, the beautiful people...
  16. Will be at P&O by 6pm Blue Shirt, Black pinstripe pants, 6ft 4 in Almost shaved head Lou
  17. Yeah, I'll give them a head's up Just called SG to ask about corkage fee and if we can bring the wine. Host/Owner answered and said "We don't normally do that. Will you be ordring wine in addition? My response, " Yes, we'll be having cocktails and I'm sure some white wine". His response, "That would be fine. As long as I can have a taste". My kind of guy. Lou
  18. This is certainly not true as I have read here previously of other restaurants with a license that charge a corking fee. In addition there are places like Blue Sky & I believe Mattise that own wine stores attached to their restaurants and will serve wine. ( This is a different type of license, I own a broad C license that allow me to served alcohol and wine but cannot sell package goods.) In addition, as I have stated before that if someone wanted to bring wine to The Grill, I would certainly allow it and base the corking fee on certain circumstances. Just ask Viejo
  19. man, that boy got all kinda messed up. No, he got it good, Nate's the one all messed up.
  20. Just as long as none of us wind up like Rico on Six Feet Under after visiting their version of Shakers. Then again maybe some of you won't mind
  21. Yeah, I'll give them a head's up
  22. I'm bring two bottles of Jarvis Cab '92. Just because I want to. I need to clean my cellar a little. No one should feel obligated to bring anything. It's just my good nature. I'm looking foward to it. By the by, does SG have a TV at the bar. The Devils are playing game 5 and wouldn't mind catching some of the game. In addition, I started smoking again, will I be able to grab a smoke at the bar Lou
  23. O.K. How do I get to Park & Orchard from Rt 80?
  24. Just a note of irony but yesterday I opened my mail and found my complimentary copy of Zagat's for filling out my survey. I've also had a dozen people who know my difficulty getting in call me after recieving their copies for filling out the survey. I emailed Zagat's at zagat@zagat.com to voice my displeasure and will wait shortly for a response as I ponder what to do next. Lou
  25. Flexable, don't care, either way.
