Steak, Chips & Salad for Monday Tea. Oven Fries - slightly over done, I have an air frier but couldn't be bothered fetching it out. Anchovy butter for the rib steak (lemon, wholegrain, anchovies, capers, garlic & onion). Beetroot, Carrot & Onion with Rabbit food for salad. I tried the constant flip method for the first time for the steak, flipped every minute for 6 minutes total. I have to say, having been firmly camp don't touch, it wasn't bad. Although I probably wouldn't have burnt the chips if I had left it alone!

It was fine. I had some shrinkage as you can see. Base was a little under. I am a lazy cook, and I believe really good shortcrust requires speed to keep the butter cold. Speed I cannot be bothered to have on a lazy Sunday 😄. (Or a MTWTFS).

I made a Quiche. With Bacon, Onion & Cheese. Everyone knows that spring, when the temperature is rising above 30c again is the perfect time to dabble with melty melty shortcrust 🙄. My first batch of onion turned green. Weird. I threw it out after some googling.

Freezer Finds Pael-Nah. Featuring frozen peas, some hotdogs that were deemed 'yucky' when had in buns so went in to the cold ( because I can't stand throwing out food ). Couple of chicken thighs, rice onion garlic tomato tumeric etc. Needless to say when I told the kid we were having 'hot dog rice' he was really disapointed when I gave him this and not a hotdog with a side of plain white rice.

I've been put on a shopping ban until I clear some freezer / pantry space. It's got to the stage where I have flour in the kids toy storage - and I don't even bake! So pretty boring meat and veg meals for the boys. Giant pork chop with BBQ marinade. Porterhouse, Egg and Veg. And yes I know us "Dead Eggers" are the flat earthers of the foodie world but some people don't like goo! (And hey, my son dosen't eat egg and I saved your eyes from his side - shop bought plain, white, pasta - no EVOO, no butter, no S&P, no cheese, nothing - just the way he loves it! Suffer foodies, suffer 😂).

So many beautiful sausage rolls. Anyone else picking imaginary flakes of pastry from their clevage reflexively? Just me? Carry on. 😄 -

My husband has asked me to share a photo of his dinner for you guys for the first time! This is his $22 Chili Con Carne and Rice. He was so offended. This is the kid and I's Pizza. I gave him the cooked half. We went away for the weekend. Sometimes takeaway treats are not so treaty. 😂 You win some, you loose some. But it's important to try and support businesses in these times if you can.

I read every single food blog from the dawn of time before I signed up. Waited for a while to post. I asked for one of my very first posts to be moved if it was in the incorect area at the start of the post before doing the bulk, I was so new. Got blasted the very next day with an admin asking me not to ask admin to move posts as it was against the rules and to read the rules again... with a lot of !!!! Almost never posted again. I am glad I persevered, but, that was a shitty start to my dream of being part of the comunity 😄.

The Hot Chicken and Cheese. They were certainly hot. I just had a taste. Not a fan, the cheese powder makes them extra 'Gluggy'.

Torture. This is Torture. It's been 2 years 232 days.... 😂 -
After an Indignant me found garlic bread on sale for $9 at the local IGA, I decided to assemble my own cheesy version at home. I want to tell you guys this was a side dish but.....

I sent the train noodles to work with hubster. Told him he had to send Noods. He thinks they were "ok, kinda spicy" which means he wasn't that impressed. He had the Beef and Pickled Cabbage flavour. This was the first photo I received. Captioned " How the Beep do I do this I can't read it" 😂🤦♀️ He worked it out.

Cottage Pie for us tonight - and the next forever. It's huge. Hidden Veg - yellow squash tomato carrot onion mix blitzed. Topped with "Rustic" cheesy mash and baked - read its a school night I had baby blues to use up and I was not peeling those suckers. Voila! The kid will eat veg but sometimes its nice to have a fuss free meal.

Did the Asian Grocery store run today for Garlic and Soy Sauce and anything interesting. Grabbed the essential mystery noods for the hub to try. Will update when eaten. Got these pot one cos ... Kung Fu Panda 🤷♀️ And then I picked these because they were pink 🤷♀️.

Breakfast of Champions. Maybe not the smartest Champions as it wasn't the easiest on the go snack 😂.

The Boys were round for beers. I provided the stomach lining with the help of the German Butchery. Beery Caramelised Onion. Mustard on buns and onion under. Pale ones were Thüringer bratwurst and the others Jalapeño and Cheese Kranskys. Crusty Rolls are my preferance.

It is very much like venison. Which is why I don't like it - the gamey smell puts me off. But it is beautiful meat, lean, rich, with an amazing colour. I can eat Roo with no problems if I don't know it's Roo. It just tastes "red meaty" when in a curry or pasta dish etc. On it's own, I'm not a good enough cook to treat it as steak, always a bit tough. It's a mental thing for me too.

Kangaroo Korma. I forgot to take dinner pictures so you get the pictures of my Husbands lunch for next few days. Made a quick curry using this. Obviously not a touch on fresh or homemade but pretty good. Comes in three stages, spice, base, finish. Suggests chicken, veg, eggs or seafood. I'm on a cleaning the freezer mission so we had Kangaroo 🦘. And when I say we... I mean they. I had a Toastie, sans Roo.

I am green with envy! Also - I love Salad cream. Didn't like Tomato sauce growing up or Mayo. Salad cream on everything. Veges, Fries, Boiled potato - Mushed up boiled egg with salad cream stuffed in a Vol-Au-Vent shell... perfection 😂. Yeah we weren't fancy ... and it's okay I make my Husband want to spew too! 😂 -
Inspired by another thread I bought a 'Family Pie' today, it was an "Ians Chunky Pepper Steak". Pretty good for store bought. Served with Mash and Carrots for the kid - with Bisto he'd rather have in a mug to drink. So I did little to no cooking, but I did try doing the whipped mash they prefer. Textures too much like school dinners for me. Ugly, Lazy, Delicious.

Oh I will enjoy this thread 🙂. My parents (questionably I'll admit) bought me a t-shirt for my 15th Birthday, with the slogan "Sex, Drugs & Sausage Rolls". I still live by one of these three principles.
