  1. Recently have had very good food at Greek Delights in Montclair. There are separate topic postings on this restaurant.
  2. I had my FIRST Flaming Orange Gully at Beacon, NYC last night. I LOVE this drink and the delectable taste of lime juice. Everyone at the table thought this drink was a winner. Is there anyplace else besides Beacon where it can be had?

    NJ Caterers

Kings Catering- Short Hills--seems that they would be reliable Monterey Gourmet- Bernardsville--they have a good reputation and are near the area you are having the event Redwoods- Chester--never had their food but they are in Chester. Stage Left- New Brunswick--imagine the food would be very good. Have you eaten at the restaurant Tim Schafer's Cuisine- Morristown--I like his cuisine. He is known as the brew chef and he has a home page.
  4. Happy Birthday Tommy. It's Lowell's birthday and our anniversary today.
  5. YES.
  6. Tommy--I bought 400 Vanity Fair napkins at Cosco yesterday. So I'll bring those. Do you think it's enough? So instead of kicking in $1 extra I think everyone should kick in $.95.
  7. Going into NY today and don't think I will make it.
  8. This is for Thursday--right? Do you think we need to get there at 1:45 and stand in line or perhaps take a ticket?
  9. I'll bring a large whatever of heavy duty napkins from Costco. What about paper towels? Do you think we need those also?
  10. Thanks Russ. If I have trouble getting in can I use your name?
  11. New Jersey Monthly has a restaurant issue out this month that is worth looking at. Many people use it to find restaurants as they have a very good dining guide. Some restaurants use PR agents. If you need names of some PR agents email me.
  12. Rachel--What do we need as far as paper goods? Are we covered for dishes, silverware, cups and napkins?
  13. you'll recognize Rosie immediately. she's a tall quiet one. And gorgeous with long legs and a voluptuous body. I'll wear an eGullet hat so you will recognize me. Now does anyone have directions if I am coming from Montclair down Bloomfield Avenue?
  14. Lunch today was at Greek Delights. Love this place but don't go with more than 4 people as they have booths and a countertop. That's it. Had grilled feta with juicy fresh tomatoes and grilled pepper; grilled vegetables (eggplant, zucchini and onion) doused in a yogurt dip and wrapped in pita and my friend had grilled vegetalbes with chicken. Great place for lunch or a casual dinner.
  15. How far in advance do I need to make reservations at the Wine Cask?
  16. Another thought. Town Pub in Bloomfield.
  17. Tell us again where you will be and what time.
  18. Check to see if Gaffer's Pub on Eagle Rock Ave, West Orange is open that late. Also, Bice on Northfield Ave may be open.
  19. This is wonderful. I am keeping a list. THANK YOU so much. Will probably go to the wine country one day.
  20. Enough people told me to stay away from Palm Springs and Big Bear Lake in early Sept. so we have changed our vacation plans. We will be going to Ojai, Santa Barbara and if time permits Cambria. We have six days. Any restaurant recommendations? We like everything from the little mom/pop places that locals know about to innovative cuisine. I'm a member of James Beard so I have a list of James Beard restaurants. Also, if you have any recommendations of "must stay at" and "must see" places that would be appreciated also. Thanks.
  21. How was LaTours?
