  6. Other suggestions: Baumgart's Café (Chinese) or Bennies (Middle Eastern). Both BYO and casual. As for drinks I don't have any suggestions. Jason??
  7. 90 Grand, Wild Ginger (BYO) or Smoke Chophouse. Does it have to be Englewood? America in Tenafly is very good. All of these are expensive. Would you prefer a moderate priced restaurant.

    FASCINO

So there were 8 eGulleters at this restaurant on Sat. night. PLEASE--if anyone is ever at a restaurant and knows I am there come over and say hello. Or send over a glass of wine especially if you are drinking something REAL good!
  9. Hand---Tell Jeff to let us know about his menu and to post the website when it is up. We enjoy having restaurant owners/chefs posting here but please tell him to id himself as such.

    FASCINO

Adegiulio---YOU were at Fascino, knew I was there and didn't come over to say hello?? : ( Luckily Lowell and I returned to Fascino, 331 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair last night because today the restaurant received a well deserved 3 1/2 stars from Cody Kendall. Get on the phone now and make a reservation. We started with an amuse of chopped olive spread on a slice of lightly toasted bread and a basket of crunchy bread and olive oil. Appetizers were cornmeal crusted calamari with tomato-fennel compote; and mussels with a white wine and sweet onion sauce. The chef sent over scrumptious handmade ravioli filled with shredded beef and topped with Taleggio cheese for us to try. I will definitely have this if it is on the menu the next time I am at Fascino. Lowell loved the fennel dusted pork tenderloin with broccolini and sour cherry sauce so much the last time we were at Fascino that he ordered it again. I had delicious polenta crusted sea scallops with Jersey corn and arugula coulis and friends had a special of sea bass over romaine and a roasted filet mignon which was declared to be outstanding. Coffee, gelato, and a free-form plum and nectarine crostata (tart) topped with crème fraiche completed the meal Fascino is open for dinner 5 to 9:30 PM Monday through Thursday; 5 to 10:30 PM Friday and Saturday; BYO. For reservations call 973-233-0350.
  15. If you cover the state as a moderator, I think you've got to be willing to visit all of it, dont you think? DDC events, in all humility, are worth the schlep. You're right. I hear ya! Be sure to keep us informed about these events.
  16. =Mark, if you can co-ordinate this Lowell and I are in. Great idea.
  17. Thank you John. Sounds like an interesting place-----for Tommy!
