Assuming your customers (or guests, for lack of a better term) can reheat things, maybe broccoli cheddar soup with grilled cheese or grilled cheese and meat/ tomato sandwiches? I would be thrilled to have any of the meals you’ve prepared! Baked chicken is a good idea, maybe with baked potatoes and broccoli with a cheese sauce?

I guess it just seems like “country club rules” for lack of a better term here in the US. If it’s traditional in Japan, then my apologies for my ignorance.

That’s absurd to me. I have to show my dining history to dine somewhere? That’s a hard pass.

@patti that pulled pork meal looks phenomenal! I am in awe of your dedication to such a worthy project!

I do know that in NJ, restaurants that donate left over food to food banks and other charities are protected by a law that doesn’t hold them liable for any food related illnesses, which encourages them to donate.

That I get. But the curly-ness of tiny sprouts from the grain, sorry for lack of a better word seems like it’s not rice to me. I have had what has been called black rice and it looked very much like white rice, but a dark purple. -
I see thing such as the picture I’m adding below often. I’ve never had black rice that looks like that, only quinoa. Am I mistaken? It’s a common thing, pictures of food for delivery on the various apps that comes delivered looking totally different. I find it frustrating

idk about @liamsaunt but I cannot stand steamers with big siphons. Give me little necks any day of the week. -

That pork chop dish is calling to me!! -
I have been getting a lot of advertisements for Suvie now. Ironically, every time I watch live tv there’s a Tovola commercial. This is the commercial I keep getting, on their home page: https://www.suvie.com It does not appeal to me at all. And I call bs that one machine can supposedly bake, air fry, sous vide along with another 4 settings. I still like my Tovala as a higher end toaster oven but it doesn’t air fry. It does steam well. but this Suvie looks like a monster in terms of counterspace and space don’t even bother to look at the cost of meals. I figure if Tovala takes off in popularity, I’d be willing to subscribe if they offered more choices.

it was mostly in jest, but I do get a craving for a nice piece of prime rib every decade. That said I think Ruth’s Chris is trash. I’d honestly rather go to Outback. John’s is a good recommendation.

honestly I didn’t. So thank you for that. I’d like to find something that independently of a stove can heat a decent amount of water to a boil quickly. Got caught up in random Amazon ads.

I have a few needs that a glass kettle that can boil water within 2 minutes would help me out with. This is their site: https://cosori.com/products/cosori-electric-tea-kettle?srsltid=AfmBOopRjlRCTV73TkjMVj5Z9ob3C1jvMKl2kg6JQf-Rb4qmQVPWlDMy Has anyone used or bought one before? I’m still looking at how they charge as that will affect the charging time. At that price, I could make ramen with it, tea, tea to turn into iced tea, and also use it to have boiling water to clean with.

I’ve done it with mustard.
