  1. Careful, tiger. Two nights & two parties would be fun. Different venues would be most helpful. I always enjoy the Schnitz. It would be fun. (And we're celebrating your birthday whenever it is that we do this!)
  2. It's a quarterly. The new issue should be out soon. Why not call back & ask them to hold a copy when the next shipment comes in? It may be easier to just subscribe. It's your money.
  3. Probably not what I can handle but what the SO can handle. Let's toss around our ideas & then I'll discuss with her. There are lots of ways we can make this go down.
  4. Sounds like October may work. Am I hearing correctly? Possible dates? What would people like to do as far as food? (The SO & I discussed the possibility of something at her house. But I'm open to any possibility.) Suggest away!

  7. Last night was such a night. Roquefort cheeseburgers & a couple of glasses of Riesling.

  11. Well, last night I was tired & feeling a bit blue. So, I made cheeseburgers. (I was reminded how much better Roquefort is on burgers than Stilton. I'm not punning above about the blues.) Tonight is the peppermint pasta. I'll report tomorrow.

  16. Don't think I want to pay money to get more of that. That's only some of it though. (And Jin is spot on with her description of this element.) There's also some wonderful stuff that you won't find anywhere else. Though if I had to choose between this & the Slow Food periodicals, I'd get a membership to Slow Food first.

  21. Sorry about starting a new thread. I searched, found nothing, but obviously I didn't search very well.
  22. Wait for a group of guys that less kind folks might refer to as "meatheads" or some such. Give them a small glass of the above as a sample. They're bound to buy one or two, at the least.
  23. Or combine a shot of Captain Morgan's with a Labatt draft. Tastes like sasparilla soda.
