  1. That would totally gross me out.
  2. Okay, I won't twist your arm!
  3. njdutchess, I am honored that you've spent 1/4 of your posts on me! You really think $9 or $10 for that little thing? I was thinking of going up to $7. $8? Thanks for coming, and thanks for the compliment! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. There is supposed to be another farm stand with fruit pies, but they keep ditching. But I like being the only baker there!
  4. Roger & Sons at 268-280 Bowery quoted me $5.00 for new, 3.95 for scratched. I didn't get a look at those. $5.95 at Sang Kung - 110 Bow, and Bowery Discount - 183 Bow. There was another place for 5, but I don't have it with me. Want it?
  5. Half sesame bagel with butter. Water.
  6. Glad to go ahead then.
  7. Paul, we'll have to wait til my partner springs for a mixer first! And another sheet pan or two. Or eight. I think if I suggested heart shaped cookies his head would pop off. Tommy, interesting yummy, or interesting I don't want to hurt your feelings? Cayenne a good choice, or should I think about other chiles? P.S. I didn't get lucky after eating the cookies!
  8. I found a couple of places who sell full sheets, 18 guage, for $5.00. I'm only using them for cookies and maybe under loaf pans or pies. Nothing too heavy, and only around 350 degrees.
  9. They don't read eGullet. I hope.
  10. Cinnamon and cayenne. Were they too hot?
  11. Yay! That's exciting news. I don't know if the cookies didn't thrill me because they're avarage, or because I made hundreds of them. I haven't eaten anything but cookies for two days. What did you have again? Mexican chocolate and chocolate chip? Actually it was very cool. Rail Paul came by and suggested I bring the remaining cookies to restaurants in the area and ask if they want to buy them. I did. They did. NJ Dutchess came by too, and got pie. I hope she likes it! Next week there will be more pies and pao de queijo.
  12. The essentials are there.
  13. don't set your goals *too* high. That WOULD rather turn my world upside down!
  14. Paul, I won't be selling the bread, just the batter. Just starting out with home cooks, but maybe in the future selling to restaurants. Rachel, did you get Suzanne's recipe? It's in pastry and baking. I will definitely NOT have batter tomorrow.
  15. but if 5000 people came in and asked... That's the thing. eGullet is a gigantic food site with people round the world reading it. I'm simply not comfortable giving my two recipes out to (insert number of members) and countless guests. I'm not an established restaurant, not have I published a cookbook which will raise my finances. I'm just a girl with two killer recipes that I'm hoping to make money with. If I make money with these recipes I can start living a normal life. K?
  16. Maybe a chocolate woman?
  17. I gave a long explaination on the NYC potluck thread that I'm reluctant to post the recipes since these are the only two items that I will be selling. They are recipes that were given me which in no way represented the original items. I reworked them over and over until they satisfied me. I hope that's understandable.

    I'll be right over.

    Favorite condiment

I don't know. I'm really changeable in this. Butter? Mayonaise? Gravy? Hot sauce? Salt? Pepper? Shall I stop? It all depends on what I'm eating, and that thing is my favorite. I pack away a LOT of ketchup with a burger and fries.
  20. I can get the stuff here in the city, it's just really fucking expensive.
  21. There's actually a diner across the street, but I may as well make them at the convent just before. Personally, they have a 45 minute shelf life for me. But, you never know. SobaAddict seems to like them cold! I will snoop around for an outlet. That would be crazy! I hope I don't get arrested.
  22. I have an active imagination.
