Who says he's using butter? I think if you add the seasoning to the oil and kernels like 20 seconds after adding them, they'll stick with the oil, and toast the seasoning at the same time. Try it once. If it burns, don't do it again and add lots of butter.

nope. sorry. i'll join katie and anyone who wants to swing down this way for one. bleu, rouge, or any of the bars that serve stuff a step above normal bar food would be good (standard tap, royal tavern, bishop's collar, new wave cafe, etc.) If someone wants to give me a ride.... Oh yes! Come play with us in Philadelphia! It's a day trip in that direction too! We can eat burgers, and Herb and I will show you around. We can run up the steps of the Art Museum a la Rocky to work off the burgers and work up an appetite for whatever other Philadelphia delights you'd wish to sample on a day trip. A stop at Reading Terminal Market is fun, or a swing by the Italian Market could be amusing as well. A stop a La Colombe coffee for a mid-afternoon espresso to get us recharged might be appropriate. I'm not so sure that burgers and cheesesteaks on the same trip is a wise decision. I'll leave that up to you... I will run up the steps of the Art Museum a la Rocky if you first drink a dozen eggs.

For your fast food querry, I used to work at Mojo's in the center of town. (Ptown.) Their Marquis sammige is wonderful. Shaved steak, seasoning, mushrooms, soy sauce, and cheddar on a Portuguese bun. I crave it all the time. They do a lot of cheese fries, so you've probably eaten there already. Is Fanizzi's where Pucci's used to be? I don't have any cheap/waiter restaurants for you. Sorry. Great pizza at Spiritus though.

David, worst comes to worst, if you're on Bloomfield Avenue, find the PNC building (I think it's the tallest one in the area). If you're coming from Montclaire direction, take a right. It's a block or two down, before the overpass. OR if you can find the CVS, it's past the overpass.
