I really like Japanese potato salad while recognizing that it is nothing like American potato salad. But then I also love hot German potato salad.

I thought I should at least find the post.

Had to look that one up!

I always understood that green stuff to be the lobsters equivalent of a liver and I know there have been warnings that because it filters out various poisons it is not wise to eat it anymore. I’m prepared to be shot down by anyone! I thought lobster roe was pink.

Are these not the same fruit that @blue_dolphindiscussed earlier. Would love to get my hands on some.

Very strange looking. Are they pickled whole and unpeeled?b

You might want to make sure your living will is up-to-date and your life insurance in good standing. Neither the USDA nor the makers of the device recommend it even though they seem to have a setting that suggests it’s possible. Here

Deception is as old as humankind. It may seem more sophisticated now but just how sophisticated did that Trojan horse seem to be in its time? I don’t think the answer is handwringing or pearl clutching but better education especially that concerned with interpreting media in all its forms.

Lovely surprise today when @Kerry Bealpicked up lunch from Rose in the Kitchen. Proved a little challenging language wise until she learned that in Turkish the letter C becomes the letter J for the purpose of pronunciation. For Kerry—lahmacun and kibbeh. For me – – lamb chops with rice and roasted pepper and tomato. Oh my God. Heavenly. Hidden beside the container at the upper left is a salad of tomato, cucumber and parsley that perfectly hit the spot. And as if that was not enough Dessert — Revani with wonderful orange flavour and rich and chocolaty mozaik. Lots and lots of leftovers (except for dessert!)

What Makes Dishes and Containers "Dishwasher Safe"? "Microwave Safe"?
Anna N replied to a topic in Kitchen Consumer
Yes the earlier model dishwashers had a heating coil in the bottom very much like what you see in the oven. If plastic fell onto this it would melt. Some plastic would deform if too close to it. Hence the warning to put plastic on the top rack. -
It’s the nature of the feast!

You can have the brisket but that fino bone is one of the best pieces of beef in the world in my opinion. They used to be easy to come by and I often cooked them but they became scarcer than hens teeth and twice as expensive. They need to be enjoyed alone or with someone you totally love and trust. Manners spoil them. Fingers and lots of napkins suffice.

So it does.

OK then.

Copied from your link: Freezer-safe, top-rack dishwasher-safe, and BPA-free

Yup. Since it is top rack dishwasher safe I would guess microwaving is a no-no. Not that you have any worries but it wouldn’t work for Ken.

I am not sure but my basket is 9“ x 9“ x 3” so it’s possible I would think.

Thanks. I wonder how well these times and temperatures were tested. I don’t have much faith that one could get an edible product from cooking a 4lb eye of round at 400°F for 45+ minutes in an air fryer. The chart might be useful for some things if you took the times and temperatures as a starting point and kept a close eye on things.

My favourite jerky product is South African Biltong so I’m wondering how this compares.

Oh! That is really carrying things a bit far! Can only admire your altruism.

So a little research reassured me that silicone lids would be perfectly safe in the air fryer. I should have clued in knowing that some accessories like muffin pans are silicone. However, there is an issue. The lids form an airtight seal basically creating a vacuum. This pulls the lid down onto the surface of the food. Duh. So the appearance of my bastardized shakshuka is compromised. I also removed the lid too soon and you can see the rippled surface of the yolk from the force of the fan. Solving such technical problems has become my raison d’etre.

All I can say is that it was only money down the toilet. Might have been quite different had you made a meal of it.

When I come into my first trillion I think I will open a string of “conversation bars”. As you say… Civilized!

Oh but there’s more!

I am totally addicted to Funions so these really appeal. I suspect they don’t make it north of the border though.
