Ouch. Just looking at those red chillies complete with their seeds and I acknowledge that I am a wimp! Glad that you are getting some enjoyable meals.
-
Then you would probably enjoy RØDGRØD MED FLØDE
-
Like jello shots! Great idea.

Hmmm. If you mean a pasty, green, salad please pass the Gravol. Ifq on the other hand you mean a pasty, accompanied by a green salad, pass the plate. 😂

Here. We had our very own show stopper Jell-O, desserts, back in the day.

I was positive you did. I was equally positive that if I didn’t like those standards, you had others to offer.

They are mature green peas that are allowed to dry in the field before being harvested. I still have in my mind, a vague recollection of the box they came in when I was growing up in England, and was hoping to find such a box on the web. I don’t see what I think I remember.
-
I think @Shelbysaid this was no longer the case. Nevertheless, I can’t think of what could possibly be gained by repurposing it. Think of it as expired medication and ditch it. Or mail it to me I love Jell-O.

While I am all for not wasting food, jell-O and colonoscopy might be just a little too close in Ronnie’s mind to spark much of an appetite. Just my 2 cents.

As I recall, pork loin does very well sous vide. I think @Shelbymastered it.

So sorry to hear about your mom, @liamsaunt strange to hear of someone who doesn’t like the smell of something cooking but he’s happy to eat it when it’s cooked. Thanksgiving will be challenging this year, there is no doubt. I hope you and your family are able to find some comfort. I just read the recipe for the blueberry stuffing. Oh dear.

I am quite familiar with scrambled eggs and tomatoes, but this one is definitely new.

Two mai tais and some peanuts? Or the three hotdogs from the back of the fridge?

Considered by some to be one of the world’s finest dishes. You are an amazing father.

Wait a minute… You call what they did camping? Camping is throwing a thin sleeping bag on the already damp, rock strewn floor of the tent which is barely even anchored because you were too damned cold to hammer those tent pegs in properly. They are not camping they are just one step down from a five star hotel. 😂😂😂😂

That child knows how to enjoy his food. I just love him.

I only mention it because the original egg sandwich in the book uses ketchup and hot sauce. I assumed they were meant to be used in any of the variations.

Thanks. I have very old eyes too! (There are magnifying glasses and flashlights in various places in my kitchen). Thanks for explaining the photograph. I struggled to determine if it was hotdogs in buns or dressed baked potatoes! Neither of my guesses seemed very logical!

When in doubt – – don’t. Another emergency egg sandwich from I Dream of Dinner. I had serious doubts (and only frozen spinach), but… Pan-toasted bun, wilted spinach, fried egg, and pickled ginger. Nope! Love all the ingredients, but not together. Would the ketchup and hot sauce have made it better? Wilted spinach? Don’t think so.

That link does not work. Could it be this? https://petitjeanmeats.com/

I am on tenterhooks.

It matters in as much as it needs to absorb the booze. Ladyfingers should have worked just fine. Perhaps you did not use enough liquid. I know in the past we have used sliced jam roly-polys, poundcake (Nigella Lawson suggests drying it out overnight). But first, I think I would try using the ladyfingers with more liquid and perhaps setting them aside for a while to absorb the liquid. A good trifle is a boozy trifle.

That looks just about perfect to me.

Some imaginative ways to use canned fish. Example: Sardine som tam This Thai-style salad is full of flavour and really easy to put together. Deep-frying makes tinned sardines really crisp, so you can easily crumble them over the top.
