Wow! That seems inadequate but I don’t know what else to say.

You can? I have never seen such a thing in my neck of the woods but I wouldn’t doubt they exist!

Thanks! Not really a genius. I got the idea from the Internet although that BLT was bacon lettuce and tomago (egg). I really like these things and you can fill them with pretty much what ever you want. It’s a learning curve though to make sure you don’t overfill them.

I am usually quite proud when someone here tells me they have been influenced to do something by me. On this occasion…… not so much🙁. But on occasion it probably doesn’t do too much harm. It certainly kept many people fed through some pretty rough times.

I also grew up on canned corned beef and when I was presented with the other kind I was quite put off for a long time.

The last of the can of Spam. For four dollars and a few cents I had hours of fun, learned a few things and enjoyed one breakfast and two lunches. Doesn’t get much better than that. Here it is fried and glazed with teriyaki sauce before being served over rice and some Japanese style grilled corn (dressed with soy sauce, mirin and sugar). In the centre is some leftover braised bok choy from yesterday.

Get thee behind me, Satan!

Not even an interesting story and certainly not worth taking this off topic. I only mentioned it so you didn’t think I was out of line chiming in. 😊

As a used-to-be hobbyist/small chocolate business,?I recommend the base of a six or 8 quart stainless steel, stove top pressure cooker. Should be able to find one cheap now in any thrift store after the advent of the Instant Pot.

Oh, but it would be so much more fun than a boring squeeze bottle.

Spam, egg and lettuce onigirazu (Japanese breakfast sandwich). My first attempt so a bit messy but perfectly adequate tastewise. The spam was glazed with a teriyaki sauce.

Thanks. If I were going to eat this more than once in a blue moon the salt content might concern me. As it is, I likely will finish this can and feel no great need to do it again until the next blue moon. But do stay tuned. I’ve only used two quarter-inch slices so far!😊

I remember the first time I was offered a fish pie. This one had a mashed potato crust rather than a pastry crust. I was quite sure I would hate it. Instead I asked for the recipe and made it for quite a number of years for me and my husband. The recipe has long gone and even the memory is fading but I do recall that it was very, very good. 😂

She does warn, however, that they should be baked until one hair short of burned. Perhaps for the sake of a decent photograph she didn’t take that chance.

Thanks! Just could not resist searching for a recipe and found this. These sound very much like my kind of cookie.
