very interesting article. interesting intellectual and conceptual problem . the approach is a bit fascinating , all those little tubes , sucking up ... a raw protein mash ? i.e. not cooked as in ' those burgers ' a raw offering seems a targeted option . do they radiate the stuff ? if they expect me to enjoy the tubules raw other stuff floating around might chow in .

a little twist on an item I enjoy from time to time TJ's Fz Chicken bits w an orange sauce , you dump that sauce , make your own but as you can see , I staged this pic, because the results were so good : this is a dry version , CSO 425 F 25 minutes or so . added TJ's ranch seasoning the the TJ's Green dried chilis it was delicious . if you like , you can dip this into something is good I just ate it as is. next time Ill season right out of the oven . the green chili gets aromatic.

My loot : I like the set of funnels . they come attached , that red thingy , end of handle. if your dexterity is what it used to be , you and use and keep tham attached that way. I chose to remove that . these are nice , still stackable , useful . I have to get used to the softness of the silicone , but that easy. on the bottom is the mushroom brush . its very nice . it does a couple of things , if you are ' doing ' mushrooms from time to time very nicely . doing what you are doing now results in the same thing this tool does just differently . and last , added the Opinel Mushroom forager knife. I do know where there are patches of brown buttons in my area . this is quite the tool for that . ( just in case , being prepared ) I have a pair of Opinel knives , from France , ordinary for '60,s 'and 70's this is just like those a sort of workhorse Jem. and I have no plans to use it .

@Ann_T Wow. Id stand in line for that one !

@blue_dolphin good for you . I have no idea if there are different grades of gloves slicing vs puncturing . A friend gave me a pair he uses for oysters . if there was a difference between slicing and puncturing these were the later not uncomfortable at all .

interesting update : https://www.bonappetit.com/story/impossible-indulgent-burger-is-it-good early in the article : '' According to Impossible, 82% of its early tasters said that the Indulgent Burger tasted“as good as or better than ground beef from cows,” '' well , if its on the internet , it has to be true , right ? however its possible the early testers were early investors .

@wibago I looked into Combi over some time ago. built in models then were a bit small for use , and then there was that added installation expense as I understand it , the Anova counter top model is a decent sie and no additional expense for instalation you do need dedicated counter top space and it seems the Anova has had several glitches ( possibly now fixed ) over the course of its y0ung life. and the price as all prices these days had certainly gone up considerably.

@blue_dolphin Wow . lucky you . Id like to make a suggestion : if one shucks oysters @ home , or anywhere else please consider getting a steel mesh glove to wear . even is its occasionally or just a few times.. it is an added expense , but if you buy oysters , buy a few less, one time. and get the steel mesh glove . why ? shellfish have a peculiar ( ordinary to them ) biology of bacteria that are difficult to treat if they contaminate even a small wound . people have lost their arms from time to time to this sort of thing. fiddled w the wound at home for a few days , and rarely , it becomes an amputation. everybody I know in this area of medicine uses steel mesh gloves . because they have seen first hand , literally , what these wounds can cause. this is no joke , I have a steel mesh glove . used it twice. Id wear it out if I got back into shucking at home my technique was shuck and swallow. not a particularly good investment you say ? price out the value of one of your arms . Easy Peasy . the shellfish biome is which different than the one on land.

@Kim Shook thank you for the tip on the fake triscuits Ill have to remember to look on my next visit. TJ's , some time ago had both fake triscuits and fake meat things . both were quite good. the Tj;s stopped selling FT, still had the FWT Ill have to see if TJ's still has FWT's thanks for the reminder.

@MaryIsobel yes . that's all there is to it nothing more to it than that. of course , I didn't charge myself 5 Euro's extra , and didn't need to use and wash a second plate. Cut sandwiches are just tastier .
-
I had two options for today's lunch . both delicious . A : or B : I chose B , not so much because it would be difficult to get back to A but because it's actually a bit tastier .

@Kerry Beal wait for Endeavour in a form you can enjoy at selected times at home. Small whisky-ies would be involved. after all Drinking-Along , w select series only add ambiance . not that many shows offer true drink-along enhanced ambiance. -

@Kerry Beal Endeavour ( now finished , 9 seasons , 36 episodes ) Whisky , room temp pub beer , Gin ) Bourbon , Kentucky variants in Justified ( also finished, 6 seasons , 78 episodes ) . so far in https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14263564/ on going , just dive bar crap . Im thinking of starting Inspector Morse https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092379/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 I hope I have them covered w Endeavour ' left-overs ' :: kudos : @Duvel very pleased one of my favorite series, ever, ( French of course ) Capitain Marleau https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5684214/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 doesn't favor Armagnac Clos de Moutouguet 1970 So so good , I kept the bottle . lasted for years that bottle . -
@Duvel thank you for Taking a Stand. Im right behind you .

Why wait ? does this open a new door to Higher Octane deliciousness ? for me ? it doesn't seem to . 50 % very cold water ( it warm here , didn't want to disturb the Balance by cooling down the bourbon itself ) I can see how style of preparations might have a lot of potential nuances The Bottle , The Label , the nuance of provenance maybe from that large Chicago Rx factory you send in your bottle , w your Rx and well ends up pretty tasty for some but fe me , this is sweet . this version , not so much that Pink double-bubble chewing gum but sweet. pleased w my $ 1.99 investment . I can sleep that off that bottle , for the Fall , of 1910 ? I left it right there . should there be a shortage of 1910 , someone is going to get that bottle . See ? just not me. @TicTac I appreciate and enjoyed your input re Bourbon its sweet . that's about it . not for me. -
@JoNorvelleWalker I noted that. in the south // S.E. Winn-Dixie et al interesting to see what they do with them much larger foot-print than the standard Aldi store Ive been in love to try lindi someday.

@TicTac Ill keep that in mind re the 1910 if I get it , Ill drink it , ne way or the other and drinking along , w a series that has a certain nuance Ill drink along , and I do know its dark tea or something as it adds to the experience and its a lot easier than getting the correct hat or two for each production . there is one thing I find especially degenerate : adding smoking to the series ( yes , people smoke , there , then , now ) for 20 pieces of Silver . best of luck on your Boat Upgrande. I noted the bourbon isle @ Total Wine m was chite long. no measurements were taken . I have been to Scotland , in August . I understand for Whisky as an evening blood thinner one might find an exceptional bourbon for the same Im seeing bourbon , as a perfected step or two higher than Vodka , for getting Ω -
I had heard that Aldi carried wine not around here but I have TJ's for some very nice table wines my current back in the day , I went to a brand new Aldi about 20 - 30 minutes away . pleasant two lane New England drive . but the one truck , waiting for me and then in front of me ? Zen at the wheel can only accomplish iso much Id get 6 jars , and other stuff very good NE two line Zen , on the way back I had sausages , and those cheap fully dog buns , w grainy mystart to look forward to .

Fall // Winter is or are coming up. Ive learned from the TV show Endeavour https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2701582/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 and now Justified https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1489428/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 the total experience of these and other shows may improve if you ' drink along ' Total Wine assure me this was the brand in the airline bottles to try. if it reeks of bobble gum , Im out only $ 1.98 . if I can swallow it ( 50 % ice cold water , no ice ) and not seize I might go for a bottle of ' 1910 ' for the fall // winter re-watch of Justified. they seem to just chug the stuff . not a good sign . -
i Happen to visit Aldi's this AM my plan was to do some research @ Total Wine Aldi is one door down. I don't have need to visit Alfi very often. TJ's and MarketBasket do me fine but Aldi has two products I stock from them: Mayonnaise ' Real ' $ 3.15 Qt vs Hellman's ( right next to Aldi's ) $ 5.78. and I look over their chocolate bars after all, Im already there slim pickings of my style but I got two bars. then on to the real purpose of the trip : Total Wine there should be an Aldi on every corner a la Starbucks back when for the Mayonnaise Crowd. N.B. : Aldi has a miracle whip clone. for those so inclined. Produce is weak at my Aldi. they had Cmpai tomatoes looked as good as the ones @ TJ's . which always look better than @ MarketBasket
