@Shelby I deeply understand what you are saying the CSO(B) is noir something you want to breakdown as you would get another no matter what. That's what I did for CSO(B)2 as far as I can tell . the cheapest new fresh unit coms from Costco for 249 or so , delivered Im not a member so I can not check. at WS w/o the coupon it might be $ 240 delivered that's a decent price if you have a usable $ 5O off for this then great. call them and check on that coupon. that, if it works is a real deal then again , you can not get $ 50 off something else at WS Id personally guess there really istnt 50 worth of stuff confined to SW that is really worth $ 50 so get the CSO(B) spare, after all you have , what 4 - 8 iPots and run them sat the same time ? imagine running two CSO as the same time w 3 iPots ? hope you have a good friend that does Amps and Watts and can figure out you electrical system but Id go for it. if you are waiting for a Prime Day 189 CSO I can't imagine this happening as there seem to be that that many of them.. if you get the WS one at that fine price and Prime day shows up at 189 or 179 get a CSO for the future Im not a prime member but if one shows up for 189 or 179 Id do some shake and bake to have a thrid again maybe the Crew from Anova is back from Bora-Bora and will introduce the long Promised Avova oven for 2oo ! C*R*a*P 4 would not really break the bank a bit less M.R. every day ? done

@gfweb thank you for your kind offer it seems there is potential for very tasty items sur la plate how ever should not the GBP have been swept aside quite some time ago, a long time ago ? see ?
-
@gfweb excellent stuff. Id show up in an instant ! except I have a tiny bit of concern re: the first pic : at the 6 O'clock position , on the botton that Green Nugget can't possible be a GreenBell ? I accept a Lie or a FakePic comment just to say.

zoo'ks and summer squash are fine once you pass them through the Cuisinart optional Match-stick processing blade just before you dress them for a match-stick salad. Cuisinart Julienne disk a Must Have BTW
-
P.S.: I think its very unlikely that a CSO will be on PrimeDay or any flash sale : I don't think Cuisinart makes enough of them and AMZN probably has a minimum # of an item to put it on PrimeDay. unlike the first few years where they juste got rid of Junk that was clogging their warehouses of course you can get AMZN third rate electronics tablets , phones as they tether you to AMZN which is the idea. F.D.: I own a remarkably small number of AMZN shares. so goggle the stuff up folks !
-
I could not find a thread that was just about Amazon. there is of course WF/AMZN Im interesting id AMZN as i interested in economics and how its changing " goods and services " I ran into this : https://finance.yahoo.com/news/whos-selling-steaks-off-truck-amazon-050537876.html

mine also came ' late ' I emailed them about this and i got a nice email back with an apology they were overwhelmed w the number of order. its that simple.
-
@HungryChris nice ! soft shell crabs are a gift from heaven ! I used to season them and grill them very quickly. sigh
-
personally , why bother ? put your talent and energy into something that will actually taste good when you put it on your plate. just saying.
-
@scubadoo97 I do something very similar w both CkThighs and Turkey things do you have a CSO ? try doing the thighs in the CSO. very close to SV , but the Chef gets some outstanding crispy skin to sample ! I always fill up the CSO so there will be extra , sans skin of course , to pull apart and use has you have above.

A P.S.: on the basket I point3ed out here : it fits nicely and the handle is nice but its quite light and not something one might use in the Mess on a BattleShip in the WWII. there are others : Hatrigo Instant Pot Accessories 6 qt Steamer Basket The Original Salbree 6qt Instant Pot Steamer Basket and Aoizta Double Tier Stackable Steamer Basket for Instant Pot Accessories 6/8 qt... one way to look at this is price. re-think this look at the items weight. I have no problems w the above and I do not plan , for the moment , to get a WWII BattleShip out of MothBalls maybe by two different ones ? just in case ? to me a billion years ago , when iPot was young I was gifted a basket that had nothing to do w the iPot. for me a steamer basket transfers the iPot exponentially

@tikidoc "he made the people in the places he visited just as much a focus as the food" " He had empathy " he certainly did. I personally have not seen so many of his shows simply because I would have loved to be there and sample that food , and talk about it with people that had his insight. Thst's my own fault. saying this I did see a show where he went into Northern Laos or the like met w the various Opium Commanders and then sat down with the Locals for some food. apparently beetles and the like or other crawling things were preserved in local " Hooch " taken out for their crunchiness after a large glass of that ' hooch' and he dug in and drank right with the Locals I saw the local Eyes Dilate, and then the toothless large grin of each of them Ill have to find that show an take another look

it must be a translation thing and the cod dish seems to be a national one. Its translated that way in three different Icelandic books. then again , I didn't check to see if the translator was the same

I think that's as close as we are going to come. like a fish stew and the drippings refer to the liquid part. I was hoping to discover something more dramatic dripping wise
-
hope im in the right spot. In reading fiction from various places around the world I encounter new dishes and try to find out what they are. Im reading an Icelandic book now , in translation of course and have come across Salt Cod w boiled potatoes and Dripping. SC and BP are easy enough to track down but not so easy the dripping part the implications in the book is that this dish is uniquely Icelandic any ideas ? google had lots of pictures but very little if anything on the drippings thanks

a shock its going to be a very long sad day for so many a lot of insight now lost. R.I.P.
