I once saw the actual Weinermobile drive by. far more interesting than one might think. I think there are several of them. banning the advertising of meat is well , ( will in the black ) 9m not sure if this is a FigLeaf , or WindowDressing or a Narcissistic Indulgence . possibly more effective , just ban the sale of what ever this stuff is . Then is will be like Townships in MA that ban all alcohol sales which they can . what then happens is that there are very lage liquor stores just over the township line . on ever major road. in my area , just over the line from the town to my town's eastern edge is Town Line Liquour . forgot the name of the liquor over the town line in the other direction. there's Talking the Talk and Walking the Walk very different approaches they are . -
when I was a Tomato Gardner 3 rows , 8 tomats / row I had two rows that eventually, over 4 - 5 years became Early Girl. the other row was a ' test bed ' of the small(er ) tomatoes , I found they had interesting flavor but SuperSweet 100 did not taste like a ' tomato ' , delicious as they are in my experience , Gardner's Delight ( is I recall the name correctly ) was a smaller tomato , but a bit bigger than a Cherry, and had a hint of orange to it that smaller tomato tasted like a larger tomato. but that was a while ago , and times change. I liked Green Zebra , but it was not very tomato-ey. it had an interesting appearance

this turned up, and I found it interesting : https://arstechnica.com/science/2022/09/how-sustainable-are-fake-meats/ its a complicated calculation and there there is this : 'Of course, all the to-do about alternative meats overlooks another dietary option, one with the lowest environmental footprint of all: Simply eat less meat and more beans, grains, and vegetables. The additional processing involved in plant-based meats means that they generate 4.6 times more greenhouse gas than beans, and seven times more than peas, per unit of protein, according to the Hopkins researchers. Even traditional, minimally processed plant protein such as tofu beats plant-based meats when it comes to greenhouse gas. Moreover, most people in wealthy countries eat far more protein than they need, so they can simply cut back on their protein consumption without seeking out a replacement." and of course , Beef isn't tofu , ever what's helpful for a Population may be of little to no interest to many or some individual members of that population.

Meat of what ever cut // animal // grade // etc has always been significantly cheaper when On-the-Plate @ Home vs Out and Meat is not that difficult to cook to ones Standard . this differential does not hold up as well if TheBocuse Truffled Soup is your target .

doesn't Amazon have a Button for that ? Tide , Everclear , Limes , a young yet amusing Chablis ?

@lindag excellent ! pics here , always interesing

@DianaB Nice. Very Nice. Espresso is so much cheaper in NorthY, GB then Paris , yet perhaps not as tasty . however : bet the plumbing is better in NorthY than Paris just saying .

my 3 cup induction Zo has a white rice / mixed rice setting as one selection. in the manual : White rice : 40 - 50 min mixed rice : 40 to 60 min. I think the Fuzzy takes over at some point and adjusts the final minutes based on how the rice absorbs the last amount of ' free ' water.

ive made many of the ' complete ' Rx's from the Ultimate book. they work well , and adding in the ease factor are quite nice Paella and risotto come to mind. believe it or not . of course , you have to use the proper rice

@Anna N I agree with you , to a point . Ive Fz TJ's Parmesanish and there is much less effect there id say , the texture of the strata clumps . at room temp is the same Id not suggest an experiment w two TJ's ' this same cheese ' only one Fz and see the difference ? I think Fzing this particular cheese does not need a chamber vac to get the effect Id say , Fz overnight in the package it came in w0uld get you to an interesting place er Fz and not right there !

@Kerry Beal it really is . im pleased it held up so well Fz . and for my purposes , was easier to crumble I usually stick to brie/camembert style but this one was sooooo good , I get it from time to time. I think I first heard about it here on eG

some time ago I started using TJ's Cheddar this stuff : as sometimes my favorites @ TJ's disappear I got 4 , and Vac's and froze in one bag Ive been bringing them out , and using them a sure sign they are doomed @ Tj's and I discovered something interesting and useful for me : the flavor of the cheese is the same , but it now easily crumbles , and you can see strata Im guessing from the' cheddaring ' anyway , I like it this way as I use this to crumble on to of things , and its mush easier now w no apparent to me : loss of favor or texture of the strata. the strata doesn't seem to stick together as much .
