Could the ramp butter be portioned and then frozen?
-
Yes, they did shrink up while cooking and finished thicker than when they were put down. I don’t know that a softer press would work with the tortilla press. Next time, we will try with another method and report back.

I find them perfect at all times. I have a dozen in the size you show, plus another half dozen in the next size up.

They were not frozen. The steel was not too hot. They were actually just too thin (think corn tortilla thin) - they fell apart in my hand as I was putting them down on the steel. 80/20 ground chuck.

Thank you, but the burgers did not stick. They were cooked on our pizza steel, which had been well preheated and brushed with oil. The patties were just too thin.

Use my tortilla press to make thin hamburger patties. They were way too thin and fell apart as soon as they hit the steel on the grill - but they were delicious! And were done in just seconds!

Yay! My husband is the one that cooks the hash browns. He said I need to give him credit. True! His method: Crispy Hash Brown Potato Patty From frozen: CSO on Convection Bake at 375F (or 400F if your fan is not working) on rack (no pan, no foil) for 15 minutes, no flipping necessary. Put in immediately, do not wait for preheating. Then, Toast on 1 to crisp up exterior. Leave in oven until ready to plate/eat.

Prepped and Resting in the Fridge (while we have our wine on the patio): Spinach Salad with Warm Bacon Dressing to be served on the side

I was not hungry this morning, but I made the quesadilla-style for my hubby, minus the avocado. He chose the salsa verde and sour cream. He liked it!

@blue_dolphin Ingredients and method for the quesadilla filling please. I think I have everything on hand and would like to make these for our breakfast tomorrow.

I think a pick up by UPS can be arranged through Amazon.

I too love peonies! Back in the late ‘70s, I worked at a wholesale nursery in southern Illinois. Peonies were one of our crops. They are a lot of work to get to market. Ours were shipped to Chicago for Mother’s Day and Memorial Day.

I cook and clean as I go, but my husband usually does the final clean up, while I post the photos of the meal here! 😋

Cool! Do you think that would work with Dill and Fennel Seeds, too?
