I did one test when I first got it: Basmati Rice and Brussels sprouts in the bottom and already cooked Costco rotisserie chicken breast on the top. Used a recipe for raw chicken breast because I couldn't find any with already cooked chicken. The breast skin came out nice and crispy with the meat possibly a bit overcooked but not totally dry either. The rice came out fine, the sprouts were a bit mushy for my taste but cooked. I only used a 1/4 cup of rice as it was just a meal for me. It's big, but not that big either. Takes up about the same footprint as my Ninja grill or Instant Pot 8 qt. It seems lighter than either. The salmon mentioned in the Dinner thread (see @Anna N's post) and the above are the only two things I have done so far. Tonight I will use it to make chicken wings from frozen just as a steam crisper. Pics tomorrow!

Guava sorbet made with a guava juice to which I added some coconut oil powder, stabilizer blend and glycerin. Came out good and is more like a sherbet due to the added fat which also appeared to mute the sweetness. Next time I will try it without.

I got a new kitchen toy, a Ninja Speedi, currently on sale at Costco for $119. Steam Cooker/Air Fryer Combo with the ability to make multi-part meals in one pot with a grain or pasta or veggies along with crisp protein. Skeptical of "Steam Crisp" but it's Costco so easy returns. I tried a frozen salmon filet by itself and it was excellent - crispy on the outside and moist and flaky on the inside. 11 minute cook time with about a 3 minute pre-heat so total time about 14-15 minutes. With sweet potato soup my wife made.

Well I kinda winged it. 😉 It was char siu powder mixed in some water with honey, soy and cream sherry. The wings were frozen and cooked plain for 10 minutes, then basted a few times with the mix for 10 minutes then a little dry char siu powder sprinkled on top and cooked for another 5 minutes. Total time 25 minutes at 390f.

I used a McCormick chicken rub. The meat was pretty tender.

A couple of recent meals. Pork chop cooked in the NFG with baked potato (microwaved for 5 minutes then cooked alongside the chop) and snap peas: Prime rib bone, cooked in the oven at 350F for an hour or so then 450F for 15 minutes. Baked potato, microwaved for 3 minutes then cooked along side the ribs. Snap peas.
