  1. Suzanne: Your good word means a lot. Thanks.
  2. Thanks FG! That was quite amusing and frighteningly true BWAH-HA-HAAAAAAA! Thanks, Girlfriend. I knew you would understand!
  3. Suzanne: Lady, you crack me up! And have no fear....you have serious writing chops, Babe! But you're right. A hard act to follow.
  4. Also what Marlene said.
  5. Archie: You rock. What fifi said. Didn't know Teflon could be so fascinating. Your best yet. Please....more! Regards, Lily
  6. Dear Indiagirl: Even though you are still waiting impatiently for your books, I'll add them now. 24,421. And you're right. It's an addiction. But one that can be so easily rationalized!
  7. Don't count on it. This particular embarrassment lurks for months, then plays "gotcha!"
  8. That's 24, 418. I've been converting the totals into miles. I wonder how many tons? Hmmmm.
  9. Snowy and Sparrow: You are writing what amounts to garden porn to a gardener who is looking at a one foot blanket of snow. Whew! (PS...Don't stop! )
  10. So what if it's too early? You need to do this for your own happiness. And it might be just fine. There will always be more tomato plants.
  11. This one really gave me the cobbywoggles.. My vote for the most horrible drink yet mentioned. As many distinguished whisky/rum drinkers have already mentioned: Coke as a mixer. In anything. I have never used Red Bull as a mixer, and it amazes me that anyone would shame booze of any kind that way. Red Bull is horrid tasting..You will get an idea of my work schedule in a previous exisitence by the fact that a Red Bull sat in the cupholder both to and from work.
  12. I did too. Oh my, she says, wiping away the tears of laughter.
  13. Oh, well, since you've brought that up -- do we get bonus points for signed books? 24, 410. Sorry, JAZ. I wish I'd thought about bonus points to make it more interesting! Too late now. But I am jealous.
  14. 24,400. Tommy, you are right in every way. But a new cookbook is a new world. Or, at least, pretty.
  15. Tan: Beautiful post. Funny, real, and it makes me thank god I don't have a sous-chef at home. Welcome. Keep them coming.
  16. Sure! 24,060 4.55 miles of books, or the distance from my house to Binnys Wines and Spirits.
  17. Moan. Hyperventilate. Sam, you have given my day a purpose. Make flakey pastry, make sausage, make sausage rolls. Maybe I should check the calendar!
  18. Hey, watchchit, Lou.! This almost sounds nutr itionally sound. Really?! That would be so cool! I could almost just live on white rice alone - and condiments of course. Carbs! Carbs! Carbs! But you snuck some vegetables in there!
  19. Wonderful, Stephen. I fancy the pants off your writing.
  20. It's every eGulleteer's duty! And welcome, Big Duck. 23,424.
  21. 23, 124. 4.37 miles. About the distance between my house and Scooby's, the local Italian beef place.
  22. Hey, watchchit, Lou.! This almost sounds nutr itionally sound.
  23. 23,044. Indiagirl: Every little bit counts! And I too love the book. Briggie: You are being silly. Again!
