  1. Weird. According to their web site if you subscribe to the magazine, you also have on-line access.
  2. The bad reviews are surprising. Their stuff is usually highly rated. I have one of their rice cookers and a bread machine and love them both.
  3. @KennethT. What did you end up doing?
  4. Do you put them on a rack or straight into the pot?
  5. Not s/v but I have read of boiling the wings for 7 minutes, then patting dry and finish in the oven. If interested, I can send you the blog link.
  6. @JoNorvelleWalker. Are you okay?
  7. I too have a spare
  8. This won't answer your question but if you decide to go the non-pellet route, here are what we have had and my impressions of them. The first item purchased was a Weber Genesis gas bbq. We liked it a lot but it wasn't too great at smoking stuff so it was joined by a Bradley smoker. The smoker worked well especially for cold smoking salmon until the pucks stopped automatically dropping. I got tired of feeding them manually if I was, for example, smoking bacon. So, a Big Green Egg was added to the collection. It was a large so we could cook some big pieces of meat on it but I, for some reason had trouble controlling the heat. We then bought a Weber charcoal kettle and I loved it. Of the 4 that we had, I liked it best. I could control the heat so long cooks were possible but I could also cook quick items, like burgs or steaks. I almost cried when we moved and couldn't take it with us.. if I now want to smoke something I have to do it indoors and i use my stovetop Cameron smoker. I mainly cook back ribs in it.
  9. It looks like it, yes. I assume you are talking about the $40 gift offer? Sorry to be so pokey in responding. I should not have said "merged with". @blue_dolphin's word "link" s correct. As far as I know, they have not merged. As an aside, I wanted to do something with ramen noodles the other day. I just typed "ramen chicken" in the search bar and a recipe from Recipe Tin Eats popped up, which I made. Sure was handier than going through cookbooks, blogs and Mr. Google.
  10. @btbyrd. Feel better now?
  11. They both look delicious.
  12. True, that. And after I buy it I think, what am I going to do with that useless stuff?

I can't even find any Rainier cherries. Now, that's sad.
  14. I did end up joining and https://app.ckbk.com/# has since merged with them, giving one access to a whole new slew of cookbooks, magazines etc. I can now access 955 cookbooks, 802 magazines, 17 blogs and 196,971 recipes. More than I'll ever need. I'm still feeling my way around this web site but I sure do like it so far. The premium membership equates to the cost of buying 2 new cookbooks a year which is chump change given the info you can access. I also had reason to deal with their customer service lately and it, too, is top-notch.

I was in Southern Ontario last weekend and bought some cherries at a farm stand. If I had been blindfolded while eating them, I wouldn't have known they were cherries.
  18. No. But then, my replacement oven came with those two settings. I'm glad I don't have to do anything. From what I've been reading in different places, a lot of people are having problems.
  19. Can anyone confirm that my oven settings are up-to-date? My oven profile says firmware 2.0.11 and App 1.1.3(12977). Thanks!

    I'm extremely jealous.
  21. These are the syrups that I have. The sauce is drizzled over puddings, apple blossoms, various tarts, ice cream, etc. Guess you could call it an all-purpose sauce.
  22. I want to make a caramel sauce and the recipe I plan to use calls for corn syrup. The recipe is written by an American and doesn't state whether one should use white or golden. Here in Canada we would use golden if the recipe doesn't specify. What do you use in the States?
  23. Amazon sells Presto. It is produced by Nestlé.
  24. @TdeV and @palo Thank you, but I did not word my question very well. I meant printing directly from the Anova site. Right now, I'm doing as suggested, in my case copying to Evernote and them deleting the bits I don't want. It works fine but is a PITA. I have amended my question.
