If I'm not mistaken there is a similar dutch food. Different sprinkles, especially chocolate ones are made for putting on buttered bread.

Does anyone have any recommendations for PA, or southern NY?

Poundcake and brownies with walnuts.

I tried Yacon once. My friend visited Central America and brought some back for me. It was the most disgustingly bland taste I've ever experienced from a naturally grown food.

I've wondered the same thing for a long time. It seems logical that there could be a process to turn maple sap into a alcohol like sugar cane into rum. I have yet to find any products of this type.

I haven't seen the Central Market bags, but I think they're quite funny. I have a PC bag and haven't really had any issues with it tearing or anything. I usually take my with me every time I visit the store.

I actually use sake ceramic serving containers for my tea. They're so ornate that they give my tea settings a little extra pick me up.

I loved adding crystallized ginger to pumpkin pie and along with a little in my pumpkin roll and pumpkin bread.
-
Chili Dogs with extra cheese and garlic fries.

The gray through me off a bit too. It sticks out like a sore thumb in the picture.

It's amazing how Rice-A-Roni remains to be so popular through the years. It's a quick easy meal that accompanies anything. I bet the soldiers really enjoy it.

That looks delicious. I'm going to run out and buy that issue. The tarts seem a perfect fit for my Sunday dinner this weekend.

Sorry for just jumping in without any suggestions, but I wanted to tell you that it's a really cute idea for dessert.

I agree. My DH is a big wild game hunter and the only way we eat our wild goose livers is friend in butter. It's such a treat when he brings home a goose.

I know this sounds awful, but on the topic of Dominos. I've been fairly impressed with Papa John's delivery service and it's pizza. The garlic dipping sauce is a big hit with late night apartment guests.

It's pathetic when a patron doesn't get what they promised. I recently visited a small Italian restaurant in Wilkes-Barre. I can't remember the name for the life of me. I ordered penne with vodka sauce and was served linguine with a chalky white want-to-be Alfredo sauce. I was quite upset and ask the waiter to return this. He complied and my ordered meal was served. My beverages were comped.

What town or city is Shank's & Evelyn's located? It sounds like a delightfully comfortable place. I'm interested in stopping by for lunch and dinner.

I've actually been to Nino's in Millersville. I can't say I've had their meatball sandwich, but their pizza is pretty good.

Where is Randolph located in NJ? I live in Northeastern PA and I would like to make the trip if it isn't too far. I love Greek festivals and I hope to attend. Thanks for the information in advance.

I haven't been to Chestnut Hill yet, but I've heard great things. I'm planning on heading down there within a few weeks and stopping by for coffee.

Thanks for the great information. I visited a restaurant a few years back and absolutely loved it, but couldn't remember the name. I looked on the map and there it was.

Where can one find food grade dry ice? I've never heard of it, but it would be an excellent accent to my Halloween party punch bowl. -
Hormel! haha just kidding. Haddon House chili is pretty delicious. Campbell's Roadhouse is a pretty good chili too.
-
Tom that pastry looks delicious. What type of sauce is it featured with? I'm not too familiar with Cornish pastries.

I'm currently making a delicious (hopefully) pound cake. mmmm...mmmm I love the buttery-goodness!
