Ronnie smoked some beef ribs and then I sous vide them for 24 hours or so. Tender enough that I could have a bite or two Ronnie's plate My sad plate lol Been wanting pizza really bad. Had some left over chicken so half was chicken, bacon (realized I can't do bacon with the periodontal stuff ), roasted cherry tomato and that zucchini butter that I made this summer for "sauce". Other half was olive, mushroom and sausage.

It got pretty big.....but I'm sure for this winter you'd be fine in a small pot. I remember her's (after years and years) being in a pot that was like 15" wide and maybe 18" deep (just guessing here).

My grammy always had an aloe vera plant . Used it on sunburns and kitchen burns.

Alien eggs have to be eaten with alien cheese.

I've always wanted to make mole, but then I forget about it. When it enters my brain again, it's always too close to dinner time.

Sous vide goose breast is also good. People at work couldn't tell it wasn't roast beef. I'll experiment further.

Ohhhhh Kay, I can make it so you'd love it. Goose and noodles. Tastes like fall apart in your mouth beef. It's a process, but it's tasty. I think I blogged about it here?

Definitely throw and go over here....although I did peruse some recipes and added some cream cheese at the end to make it more creamy. A good addition. Along with the usual suspects: Chicken Hatch chiles Tomatoes Garlic Onion Cumin, salt, pepper, cilantro etc. Chicken broth Threw in some corn Half a hunk of cream cheese Squirt of lime and cheddar cheese when served

I wish you guys would stop removing the mystery of this wondrous stuff before I have the chance to try it. 😠

A couple of eggs and soft bread crumbs.

I haven't made or tasted this stuff yet, but maybe I'd add some cream?

YAY! Been wondering about this ever since Jo wrote about it. I just didn't have the courage to ask. Amazon doesn't have the pickled ramps that @Kim Shook got, dang it. No pickled ramps at all so I ordered pickled pearl onions. Can't wait.

😳 This is what mine looks like after I've organized. I think you should wait until it's a lot worse.

A couple of meals. It's getting hard to think of new meal ideas that I can eat (needs to be soft, no salad...no crunch) and not bore Ronnie to tears lol. I think he's had his fill of pasta (but he's probably getting that tonight...lol) Anyway, been doing a lot of things with venison burger. Stroganoff, goulash..stuff like that. Needed scalloped potatoes after seeing @gfweb's Venison meatloaf to go with Last night surf and turf--venison steak for Ronnie and shrimp for me....I cheated and tried to eat a bit of steak too. You should see how long it took me. I was still sitting at the table this morning when Ronnie got up for hunting lol (kidding). my sad little plate lol Yes. The sprouts are cooked to death. But I can eat them that way I MISS SALAD.

Milling and Baking with Heritage and Ancient Grains: Bread and Beyond
Shelby replied to a topic in Pastry & Baking
Hi. Remember me? I can't believe it's been since June that I've made any whole wheat bread. My poor mill has been staring at me all this time, wondering what it did to deserve such non-usage. I can only say that the garden did so good that I canned a lot lot lot and then my periodontal stuff has kicked my butt. I didn't realize how bad I felt for such a long time until I got on antibiotics. Ahhhhh the wonders of medicine lol. Anyway. I put an end to my mill's misery and made bread yesterday . I decided to go with the Serious Eat's recipe again--and the 4th time would have been the charm had I not screwed up and forgot to add water and oil in the last step (banging head against table repeatedly). I can't believe I did that. I realized my mistake right after I put the dough in the pan to rise for the last time. The dough felt really good so I decided to go ahead and bake. Dough after second rise I'm not sure my screw up really hurt too much thankfully..... I'm back on the bread wagon and I'm going to try new grains and recipes next.- 161 replies

Call in sick!!! You can't pass this up! -
I kinda think I'd love that version.....after seeing yours I had to make them (the cheesy kind) to go with meatloaf tonight. Doing your version next. It's becoming a challenge to come up with edible dinner (for me) that I and Ronnie enjoy during this damn dental crap. Oh well......I've needed to lose weight for years 😁 the only upside lol.

I hope it works! I'd say if it makes it through the decalcify process then you're good to go. It's when it won't get finish that process that it might need the de-gunking.
