  4. How would you use a grav for this? Put the plastic bag over the hole that you would normally inhale and push the vessel back down into the water to blow it out through the top?

  9. All 3 of those should have been no problem for anyone with a few years' experience cooking professionally. Although for a standard home cook, which, based on this comment, you appear to be (no offense intended), it may appear impossible.
  10. Well, Jen is fiiiinally gone. I kind of feel bad for her but she just couldn't seem to do anything right and was a nervous wreck most of the time. I'm pretty sure this is going to come down to Shane and Lisa.

    I was interested in a tasting menu at Daniel, but I can't seem to find one on the website. Nevermind, found it. $175 for 6, $195 for 8. Hmmm...
  12. I can't express how shocked I am by the people saying this is comparable to Chick-Fil-A. And here I thought this was a website full of foodies. Imposters!

    I must admit I am shocked by what you apparently receive for $105. Disclaimer: I have not eaten at Daniel yet, though I have a reservation for the 3rd of July. At Daniel you pay $105 for 3 courses, including a dessert. At Jean-Georges you pay $98 for 4 courses, including a dessert. Daniel is 2 stars, J-G is 3. I'm lost.

  17. That technique demo by Nipa was painful to watch. She has absolutely no idea what she's doing and is the least qualified of any of them.

  20. What's the problem? ← I'm used to coconut based curries and the addition of lime would curdle it wouldn't it? Make it look like off milk? *shudder* I think tastewise it might be good. Just concerned about appereance. Vain of me I know. ← I wouldn't know, I'm still waiting for my granite mortar and pestle to arrive. Being in the food biz, appearance is important to me as well. I can't say I won't experiment with this though.
