I'm afraid I'll have to disagree w/Ms. Hamilton; Main a Dieu, also on Cape Breton on the Atlantic has the best tasting Lobster (might be a good place to start a tasting comparison). My wife is from a third generation of fishermen from Main a Dieu, that's how I know.

Everything looks absolutely great but the "Bulgur pilaf with lamb, beets and tahini" really is something that I think we would like to try. Did you create this yourself or do you have a basic recipe you would be willing to reference? Knowing where you live, (we lived in the same area for about 15 years), I know the Washington Post ran a "grains" column in the last few years. Wondered if that was the basis. When we moved "west" I really missed the WP Wednesday edition food section. Occasionally still find some of the articles on line. Thanks, Kay ← Kay - yep, the dish was adapted from a WP article on grains: WP The Tahini was my add, and I took liberty with spices. Great leftover dish as well!

Great, a PBS food show mirroring Food Network slop. That Claudia ditz is about as enticing as Rachel Ray and at least as annoying. How much money did they sink on this one... PBS should re-air or re-create the Great Chef's series. That was the best cooking show series made, ever, period.

If you're still considering options, if you're a gourmand, consider Montpelier VT, headquarters of the New England Culinary Institute, and all around great place to live; nice people, beautiful scenery, affordable compared to northern VA., within reach of NH and Montreal.

Pizza in this part of the country is legendary. While Pete & Elda's and Vic's are solid, for an even better pie and atmosphere, I highly recommend Vezuvio's in Belmar and Mom's in Neptune. I've been eating their pizza for some 30 years.
