Well that does make sense - I'll try to drop around and share that with the fellow who has them.

He might be right - a little research into vintage flashlights shows something called an Everyready tubular flashlight and the bulb looks remarkably similar.

Big Green Egg - we have a mini up here - link here

54.5 C for 2 hours. Rewarmed same temp for about an hour today.

It was indeed strange - the guy who was selling it didn't know what it was - and of course that just piqued my curiosity!

Thing is they don't seem to have any sort of filament or anything in there - they look kind of like a cleary marble set down in a tube and unlike most flashlight bulbs they don't seem to have any sort of electrical foot contact unless the whole base is a contact.

Tomorrow housecalls for Wiki Long Term care. Found some unsalted/unsugared Kraft PB in the bargain section of the supermarket. Added a ton of salt and a bit of blackstrap molasses to mom's PB cookie recipe.

I think it's crazed glass on the display case - so no owner in place.

T'was a youngish hand. You can't see but he's gripping the lure in that closed fist. Tough little bugger though - let me freeze it without complaint, cut each hook and push them through. I've had older 'boys' complain a whole lot more with a whole lot less hook in them.

Brought with me some fish hook/fish line cutters. Second ER shift in fishing country - got to test them out.

First batch of black garlic caramel. Will wait for it to firm up and cut to see how it is - but just this second realized I haven't added any butter to it! DUH!

9" pullman loaf - about 400 grams of flour, milk powder, honey and butter. Smells darn good - will get crumb shot in am.

Here's what I've been up to this evening. I bought this 9" pullman pan before I came up - wanted to play with it here. I have a 13" one at home but it's not practical making large loaves. I didn't really think it through in terms of time - fortunately it rose fairly quickly so I'm finished in enough time to not lose sleep.
