  1. You need to swap all 3 - each size has a cap, a needle and a nozzle just for it.
  2. Nah- tried to be tactful instead! Did comment on the heat of the kitchen making storage of their bonbons an issue to the chef when we were checking out the kitchen.

  4. The best parts of the theatre were watching the other diners and the wait staff dancing around each other.
  5. Up to a point - a few dishes completely missed the mark. The food snobs that we are probably made us more critical than the average diner would be. I loved the popcorn! They need work on their chocolate skills!
  6. Or a nice simple cocktail (with a goddamn big ice cube if you don't mind)!
  7. It came with an instructor (and a little Smurf hat that he was told to eat all at once). Then he was instructed to blow into the tube which would flip the ice disc and mix the drink - allowing the pea flower infusion to change pH and turn the 'lovely' Smurf color. That was the point at which he blew a good deal of it out on the table.
  8. Just going to post the pictures and let @Alleguede fill in with the notes we were able to scrabble together. Dishes weren't well described in all cases by the servers but we did get a menu at the end.

  11. The pre cocktail - too dark for pic - rum, raspberry black pepper Feather Knows Best - at Aviary while waiting our Next reservation asked for rocks - eternal distain from server!
  12. Hell - even some mayo would have helped - even Hellman's.
  13. Might have been with a little seasoning or dressing or something like that on it.

  15. There was - it was pretty dry though so I didn't eat it all!

  17. My invert sugar crystallizes when it sits. I've not had the invert sugar or the honey actually crystalize in a ganache however. I would suggest that you do the exploration - replace the invert one for one with honey and evaluate the flavor, texture and keeping properties over time.
  18. Dinner at Vie. Opted to share a couple of apps. The Clear Square Bread Amuse - feta, strawberry, balsamic Parisianne gnocchi Charcuterie Tartar
  19. Sad continued at the Barry Callebaut reception - although the shrimp that landed in my mouth was very good. The sweets left a little something to be desired.
  20. I do a similar soup with split peas - nice and thick - usually with chunks of carrots and potato as well. A nice ham bone forms the base - and any ham left on it at the end gets added back before pureeing and perhaps some chunks of black forest ham if there isn't enough left on the bone.

  22. This morning my appetite is improved - unfortunately our food choices did not. This is what they were serving at the breakfast before the general meeting - Those are not grits, nor mashed potatoes - it's a pile of egg whites. Didn't eat. Followed by one bite of that chocolate muffin. Yuk. So then we headed upstairs to the SPG lounge Took about 15 minutes to get a little color on this bagel (and I use the term bagel loosely - its a round bun). Had a few nuts and fruits to finish off.
