  1. I think it might be on fondant rather than white chocolate in this particular picture. I know @Alleguede has done this for some special occasion eclairs - but it gets expensive quickly!
  2. Yup - just the white.
  3. Keeping it away from light and heat for sure. I was thinking it might be sensible to store any new white power flowers in one of my freeze dryer mylar bags with an oxygen scrubber pack in it.
  4. Yup - power flowers discovery kit Just poked my nose in the fat soluble white behind - smells fine and it's old
  5. So this morning I decided to make some white cocoa butter (I cheated and used commercial for the deep space ones). I figured I'd use the Power Flowers as they make a nice smooth colored cocoa butter that doesn't require straining. I emptied the container of white from the discovery kit and went into the pail that I had brought back from France (thanks to the help of @jmacnaughtan) in 2015. They were clearly rancid. Got me thinking - I know we have frequently complained about white cocoa butter and off/strong tastes - none of the other colours are rancid - just the white. Must be oxidation (titanium dioxide) and lack of natural antioxidants that is causing the rancidity. So making our own white from powder would probably give us better tasting white!
  6. Yes - it's a transfer made on an edible ink printer.
  7. I could tell you - but then I'd have to kill you!
  8. For sure in the decoration - there are 10 fillings - mostly caramel variations but only in a couple of spots is it suggested what mold to use them with.
  9. Thanks Bob - but I was merely following directions.
  10. It is a bitch to polish - I rarely use it - it's huge! Cara crackine and milk chocolate.
  11. Submitted my first two assignments this am.
  12. Here's how things look this morning
  13. Here is all the gardening I've done so far this year. Each year I get get a little better picking plants that can survive the full sun in these pots. We have discovered that planting them immediately after coming home from the nursery gives better results than waiting a few days (and I lose less plants to the hubby),
  14. Those don't look too bad from here
  15. Curious what you consider spamming on Instagram?
  16. Link sent to me yesterday by chocolatier friend in Manchester - here
  17. Here is where the recipe comes from - it's the CC recipe but you need to go down a few posts to link to the Saveur recipe.
  18. Brought along the baked beans I had made with the Father's Bacon seasoning - gave them a few more minutes in the IP as they were a titch underdone Made Boston Brown bread in the IP last night. Here it is sliced - very tasty! Also made a pullman loaf at work today And for myself I made some greens using a much smaller quantity of the Father's bacon seasoning, some onions, garlic and chicken stock, also in the instant pot.
  19. Daniel - I did see that - I copied one part of it to my Instagram.
  20. Cabin luggage in a cooler bag. That has always worked for me.
  21. Must be why Jerome Landrieu is at the school right now. Potato quality?
  22. I used about 3 big chunks - too much I'd say - one would have been sufficient.
  23. I bastardized my usual recipe - I'll include it here though Baked Beans Recipe By: Kerry Serving Size: 12 Ingredients: - 1 lbbag dried navy beans soak and cook - 2 tsp salt - 1/4 tsp pepper - 1 cup brown sugar - 1 cup chopped onion - 6 tbsp bacon drippings - 2 tsp prepared mustard - 4 cups tomato juice - 4 cups bean water - 1/2 lb bacon cut into chunks - 1/2 canned ham cubed Directions: Soak beans overnight, or do quick soak. To quick soak, cover beans with cold water, bring to a boil, boil one minute, cover and let sit one hour. Cook beans for about 30 minutes or until tender. Fry bacon and reserve fat. Combine all ingredients and bake at 325 for 6-8 hours, topping up with water if get too dry. Can also cook in crock pot. Sent from my iPhone
  24. Also a lucky recipient of some Father's Country Bacon Seasoning. Made some very smoky baked beans. Very smoky!
  25. The cocoa butter that did come out looks nice and shiny - so I'm suspicious that your white chocolate might have been too cold when you put it in the mold.
