Here's my mom's recipe - and I one I always make Scalloped Potatoes 1 large onion sliced into thin rin 5 cups potatoes peeled and sliced 1 tsp salt and pepper 2 cups milk, 500 grams 3 tbsp flour, 25 grams 3 tbsp butter, 45 grams Make white sauce by melting butter, cooking together with flour, salt and pepper. Stir in milk and cook until thickens. Place a layer of potato slices, topped with a layer of onion slices into a large casserole. pour over some of the white sauce. Continue to layer potatoes, onions and white sauce. Top layer should be white sauce. Bake 375 for 2 hours.

Well - here we are again in Seattle - a quick turn around from the Paris trip. Looks like I'm praying for a smooth ride. Instead got a little lecture at customs. Lounge food. Plane had bowls this time - and warmed! I wouldn't recommend the pasta I'm not sure how the butter chicken was.

Nope - just dug them out of their foil and ate them!

And here's what they fed us on the Montreal - Toronto leg. There were almonds too but in a foil packet. And now I'm home drinking herbal tea and waiting for it to be time to go to bed. Tomorrow I start preparing for our next trip to Seattle - leaving Wednesday night.

To bad you couldn't convince her it was no good so you could take it home too!

Of course you have to have the obligatory pictures. I'd love to figure a way to get copies of the official ones taken.

Last night we were treated to dinner by Renee of Chocolat-chocolat and her husband. A delightful evening with great conversation and excellent food. I don't have the name of the restaurant - but it appeared to be a husband and wife - he was back of house, she was front - served about 30 covers without batting an eye all by herself. Terrine of mushroom and fig for me. Snails for Rodney. I hadn't worked myself up to taking pictures of Renee and Maurice's food until the mains arrived. Paella for me. Nice chunk of beef for @Alleguede Pear Clafoutis for me . Glace for @Alleguede I believe this was a tiramisu variation
