While we were waiting for the buffet to be set up we went to the SAQ (that's the Quebec govt liquor store). I bought the bottle of Avril - which is a chestnut liqueur as far as I can tell. We hit the grocery store on the way home - grabbed some milk for my tea, some limes to accompany the G&T premixes I found at the SAQ. The view from my room.

We ended up across the river in Gatineau at Chez Fatima. It made the most sense to have the buffet because it had all the dishes we might think of ordering. Mint tea Some of the best Moroccan food I've enjoyed in a long time. Lamb shanks with prune and chicken with lemon were my favorites. And the lamb kafka.

It went by in a flash - and I did let them refill it!

Done that - coach seats - food was good I also recall - they threatened to throw us off the train. I’m better behaved now!

I’m currently on the train headed to our nation’s capital Ottawa to serve as an examiner for the College of Family Physicians. I think the last time I posted about one of these exams was when I went to Saskatoon. No wait - @Anna N and I went to London last year for one didn’t we. Anna won’t be accompanying me this time I’m afraid so I’ll just have to find my own food. My train is being met by @Beth Wilson - she has chosen a spot for dinner tonight - I’ll have to dig through my emails to see if I can find it and read up on it.
