Dinner for breakfast is becoming a habit. Sunday's breakfast Pollo alla Marengo. Moe had his for breakfast and I worked Sunday so took some for lunch. And Tuesday's breakfast. Up early so put a ham in the oven. Potatoes and peas in cream. Lots of ham leftover for ham and eggs.

@chefmd, beautiful loaf. Love the rustic look and the colour of your crust. Bread dough hand-mixed on Wednesday and refrigerated for 24 hours. Baked two pizzas and three small rounds on Thursday night.

A couple of Moe's breakfasts. Homemade bread toasted, Italian sausage with potatoes, peppers, onions and mushrooms yesterday and this morning a mushroom omelette from local free range eggs. Moe's Breakfast from yesterday. I was out of eggs so I went with Italian Sausage with potatoes, peppers, onions and mushrooms with toasted sourdough. And today's breakfast Mushroom Omelette with local farm eggs.

Moe requested something sweet this morning, like cinnamon rolls. So I baked him a cinnamon roll cake. This is a great breakfast cake because it is easy to make and served warm. It doesn't have to cool long before topping with the cream cheese frosting.

@robirdstx, great looking biscuits. I would love your breakfast. Yesterday's breakfast was the dinner I didn't cook the night before. Grilled Pork Chops with potato gratin and mashed buttered acorn squash.

Dinner for Two - Shared Platter. Moe's favourite salad. He loves this Caesar Salad. I've been making him this salad since 1979. This one sets the standards by which he judges all other Caesars. Homemade dressing with coddle egg , homemade croutons and both Roquefort Cheese and Parm Reggiano.

Moe's breakfast. Another dinner that became breakfast instead. A Thai style version of garlic pork. Best thing about making dinner for breakfast is that I will take some for lunch.

Scubadoo, Dinner ended up being a roast beef sandwich on homemade baguette. Forgot to take pictures. @shain, thanks. All Moe wanted for breakfast this morning was toasted homemade sourdough bread. Baked on the grill last night (last minute save) because my oven failed to heat up. Came off the grill just before we went to bed so he never got to try it last night.

Almost had a baking disaster last night. My oven decided not to heat up. It had preheated for a long time but never got past 485°F. Or so I thought. I opened the oven door to slide in the first loaf and realized that it did not seem all that hot. So I turned it off and on again and it was only at 290°F. Wouldn't heat up past 310°F. So I debated whether to just toss the remaining three loaves, but decided to try baking them on the grill. Not perfect, but turned out better than I expected. Sliced this morning. Moe wanted just toast at 4:30 AM. Proof that it is really difficult to screw up bread.

Today's bake from a batch of dough made yesterday. Crumb shot. I also have a batch of sourdough that I started this morning. I have neglected my sourdough starter for months. I don't think I have fed it since October. Pulled it out yesterday morning and got started. Poured off the hooch and retained 6 oz of starter. Gave it a good stir and fed it with 3 ounces of fresh milled Canadian organic rye flour and three ounces of spring water. I was expecting to have to feed it a number of times before it got active, but it actually doubled in six hours. It was slow starting but once it got going it took off. I fed it again last night and used some of the discard to make a biga/preferment. This morning it was ready to use so I started a batch of sourdough. Not sure if I will bake today or wait until tomorrow.

Thanks @Kim Shook You know that I feel the same way about your meals. I think that we cook very similar. Anyone that knows me, knows that I don't like salads. Never have. I can make them, but I just don't get any satisfaction out of eating a salad. But Moe loves salads. So I decided to be a good wife this morning and make him a "breakfast salad". Salad comprised of fried potatoes, bacon, tomatoes, avocado and red onion. Topped with a poached egg. And garlic croutons made from my homemade baguette. He loved it.

@shain, beautiful seeded loaf. Mixed up a batch of dough on Sunday and baked Monday. Got the idea from @Franci and used some of the baguette dough to make mini rolls. Not much bigger than a large egg.
