A group of 5 of us are heading over tomorrow night for my wife's bday. None of us have dined there before. What are the must haves on the menu?

I have a major craving this morning...I want a nice Belgian waffle with fresh fruit. I live on the North Shore and have no idea where I can get a good waffle! I know De Dutch only serves up pancakes...anyone have any suggestions?

Nick's on Commercial and ??? Hastings I think. I'm sure many of you know the place....fantastic Italian food....I highly recommend the Lasagna or ravioli with Spareribs.

I noticed the #1 ranked best new restaurant was a Belgian place...can't remember the name right though. Anyone been?

I used to go to a little spot on Londsdale called Kokoro which was really good. Unfortanely, they have switched sushi chefs and his skills are lacking! The wife and I tried the new place in the village (beside Steamworks) and it was not that great. Can anyone recommend good sushi in either North or West Van? Thanks!
