My initial confusion is was that NJ monthly meant New Jersey instead of North Jersey. The only places included in the real south (pardon me but princeton is not in south jersey) were along the shore; a north jersey pov. How many places in cumberland, salem, gloucester, camden, burlington counties were included? 0. ← I have worked hard to expand my view on North Jersey...recently I switched the dividing line from Route 4 to Route 80. Anything south of Route 80 can be whatever it wants, and then there is the Shore....And I am only sort of joking... actually no I'm not joking Tracey from Way North Jersey

They do the buffet every day, but Sunny has told me the weekday menu is more limited. I have always gone on the weekends. I think it's $8.95 during the week, and $10.95 on weekends. Elmwood Park and a few other towns bordering Passaic County get their water from the Passaic Valley Water Commission, so they were not affected by the lightning strike at United Water. (They need to fix this already!!!) ← Lots of towns have their own wells also like Ridgewood, Waldwick, Ramsey, and Mahwah. T

Hmm at home - pickles, cheese and potato chips At Amazing Hot Dog - chili, jalepenos, and coleslaw anywhere else - chili, cheese and raw onions Except for the Italian hot dog that only NJ is blessed with - which is a deep fried hotdog dropped into a roll with the texture of a medium soft Italian bread and dressed with suateed peppers, and onions, and fried potatoes usually also mustard At home we use Bests or Sabrett - When out you just take your chances that you may get a mushy pork or mixed meat dog tracey whos hungry now?

I wonder if you could work off a marmalade recipe but use a sweeter orange..... T
-
I see salt as a brightener or a high note. It also can add complexity, like when people salt watermelon it balances the sweetness. I also use cayenne pepper in a lot of things for the same high note especially when something doesnt need more salt but....something then there are also different salts for different dishes tracey mmmm salted caramel

Suddenly thinking of stuffed roast chicken reminded me of long ago when you could get boneless chicken breast with skin on...my grandmother used to put stuffing under the skin. Just like a roast chicken in 20 min. They even used to sell them stuffed like that and tucked into a tiny tin at the supermarket tracey who cant comprehend people who don't eat macaroni/pasta 2 times a week -
I was already lost over the Pibb on the menu then you say fifty fifty fries and onion rings and Cherries in a cherry coke our original vacation plans included Kansas city but now its only the jersey shore...oh well there are giant pizza slices and orange custard in my future tracey

Really? The farm guy goes with the mic vs. the grill??? ← Farmers are not necessarily known for their cooking skills. I can't imagine why you'd want to microwave farm fresh corn. If it's really fresh, try it raw. Otherwise, either the soak or no-soak methods work great. I used to soak all of the time before grilling, now I hardly ever do because I find that it doesn't make that much of a difference (especially if the corn is fresh). ← When he asked how I was going to cook it I proudley told him I was going to grill it. This was after tasting it right from the bin....he said nuke it. I only nuke if I am not grilling already. Tracey

Garden State Motorcycle Club did a short ride to Amazing Hot Dog this afternoon Here is the Owner Eric trying to decide which bike he wants I think we wants the brand new one with the cool pinstriping I really tried to muscle my way in between the animals - I mean my fellow club members to get a shot of what was ordered, but this is the best I could do over the crowd I think everyone was very happy Tracey
