Williamsport PA: the Cellblock has Guiness, Harp, and Boddington's on tap.

I know everyone here likes potato chips, so what's your favorite kind (even hand made)? Mine would be a local brand: Middleswarth BBQ or Wise Onion and Garlic. My grandma ships me up a case of Zapp's around Christmastime and those are the bomb too.

Yuengling. I dunno if it's considered "mass produced", but it rocks. go into a bar in PA and just order a "lager" and that's what you'll get.
-
oh, the sauce was great. it was just the texture that put me off. another not really weird, but kind of weird thing i had, also in hong kong, was shark fin soup with crab roe........unfuckinbelievable. wow.

Ah yes, the spots must remain secret of course........i was just lucky to be privy to a few. i was meaning like types of trees found near, kind of land, etc.
-
Nothing that weird for this bunch, but........... Sea Cucumber (in Hong Kong, absolutely disgusting) Horse Sashimi Scrapple (actually, i eat this a lot)

I haven't had much luck with 'em myself, but i can usually score a few, or am with some generous friends. I noticed they sold em at Whole Foods when i visited my dad in Greenwich for $30/lb. Here though, you have to find then. so some questions. What kind of locations do you find them in (i find them among tree stumps, under leaves and whatnot)? How do you cook them ( i usually dip in egg, breadcrumbs, and panfry)?

wow...........i started an awesome thread! some more thoughts. when we were still in high school, my friend Joe brandished an arizona iced tea bottle and invited me to sample the contents. we ended up finishing the bottle before first period. it was the most potent weed tea i'd ever had! (he was known for the quality of his stash, stuff that couldn't be purchased at the time, purple indica type stuff) we were pretty useless the whole day. fortunately, my teachers were used to me being high all the time and didn't hassle me. i thought of some more stuff to eat when high: chinese buffet. those big bags of frozen fruit. smoked salmon. venison jerky and lots of water. breaded morels (once a year treat)

water chestnuts raw onions on sandwiches shitty ground beef

don't know about CFS, but my friend brock used to make a mean chicken-fried venison steak. he'd dip it in egg, and then breadcrumbs with spices in it, and then pan fry it with about a stick of butter. we'd eat this with french fries and even fried morels sometimes. usually very drunk

sorry, not sure exactly what kind of vinegar it was, except it was clear. that should narrow it down a bit.

Foodman, you just described a meal at my grandma's house. I'm hungry just imagining it.

(not in any order) 1. Troeg's Troegenator 2. Troegs Hopback Amber Ale 3. Golden Monkey 4. The "Williamsporter" a carob maple porter made by my local brew pub, The Bullfrog Brewery. 5. Guiness on tap 6. Yuengling Lager 7. Straub (no preservatives, any crap at all) when i need a 30 pack...........busch cans

i'd say the best dolmas i've had were armenian. i am biased though, cause my grandma made them. I know whatever leaves she used were from the garden outside (they may have even been growing up the side of the building), and they were stuffed with rice, beef (because my grandpa and dad don't like lamb), spices, etc. they are sublime though. she makes the little ones, larger ones, and even uses zucchini instead of leaves.

oh man i love this stuff. theres an egyptian place in montreal that has it, plus my grandma makes it. we were served the chicken and rice on the side, but as a garnish were chopped onions in vinegar. i wish i could find it here in central PA
-
actually, speaking of infusions, i recently sampled grain alcohol which had been infused with a half ounce of high grade weed for about two years, and a bunch of kief. the stuff had turned green, and the weed was like yellowish white. tasted really strange, though not that bad.
