  1. well with that much fat - you're skin certainly will have a glisten. I can also see the other benefits occuring as well. I'm not familiar with this induction phase, altho I have used Udo's oil before - it tastes like pumpkin seeds. I used it as i did my flax seed oil - 2tbsps per day.
  2. it is Ragi, Gingerly! thanks - i wound up asking my mother. I've yet to find any around here tho.
  3. here's one i learned from the movie "Pecker" Baltimore - Pit Beef. don't ask me what it is, cuz i'm not sure.
  4. brilliant!
  5. gingerli - you're first recipe is very interesting - i guess the tamarind replaces the tomato for sourness, yes?
  6. Just think you are making a basic chicken curry and when the ' masalla' is done add water to your preffered consistancy, cook a little bit more for a homogenous sauce to form and instead of chicken just add shelled hard boiled eggs which you have deep fried until a skin formed and pricked with a fork. Simmer a few minutes and enjoy with your rice. You can also make an omlette curry with left over chicken curry gravey where you make a masalla omelette with diced onion, green chilles, clantro and tomato, cut into cubes and simmer a few minutes in last night chicken curry. thanks bb - actually monica gave me a wonderful recipe the time i originally posted this and it was fabulous. that omelet curry recipe sounds very good tho - i shall have to try that!
  7. I'm sure there is a tale of two hidden away in, "I Will Never Again...". hee hee yup - i believe one of them is mine. and i agree with rachel about giving away his stuff. when i broke up with my ex, i pawned all the diamonds he gave me (well except for one tennis bracelet) for the sheer principle of things. matter of fact the less i got for it, the more chuffed i was. hee hee. during my last move i found some suits of his and gave them to the movers. definitely get rid of the stuff in whatever way makes you feel better. i burned all his love poetry to me and ripped up his pictures. that was very cleansing. he was heartbroken that i torched the poems. (of course i told him) serves him right tho.
  8. also - i don't recommend cooking your meal naked. cook first, then take your clothes off. (personal experience)
  9. Haveli's buffet is a bit different from Swapna's. Haveli's style of Indian food is a bit different too - Swapna's has South Indian foods on their buffet, which is definitely different - and i must say i prefer their Butter Chicken to Haveli's - but i might actually prefer Haveli's Naan to theirs.
  10. you know - i'm sure this isn't the exercises comfort me had in mind, but with my last breakup one of the best things i could have done was hit the gym and start seriously lifting weights, and running on a treadmill. they did wonders for letting me get my anger out (throwing heavy stuff around is fun and challenging) and the running basically exhausted me so that i could go to sleep. the added benefit was that with all those endorphins running around in my brain i was remarkably pleasant to be around.
  11. how about a scotch bonnet pepper instead of the habanero? they are related but imo, the scotch bonnets are fruitier. and hotter. here's an interesting link that might help.... http://www.batnet.com/rwc-seed/index.html
  12. that sounds really gross. *lol* i'd rather just choke down the jellied sawdust that plain psyllium tastes like.
  13. either starkist albacore in spring water, or olive-oil packed italian tuna. depends on what i'm using it for. i don't make tuna salad sandwiches too often, but i do make a tuna, egg, potato salad when i'm going through a high-protein/high-fat phase.
  14. ah i see. sorry. i'm used to seeing questions like that on another forum i frequent. but those are people truly anal-retentive (pardon the pun) about their nutrition.
  15. just get regular psyllium husks, psycho - i don't know if metamucil is sweetened or not, but the plain husks, altho they are fiber have zero carbs.
  16. i want to eat these. well first i want to taunt my kitties with them, and then eat them.
  17. kitty-speak? je suis tres confus-ed. doh never mind - cat tongues. just occured to me. what do these cookies look like anyway?
  18. wow - thanks Milt - you just gave me three new places to check out now. btw have you gotten a chance to check out Swapna yet? it's in the old Sai Ram location. i just went there htis past weekend. the foods pretty good, and fairly cheap too.
  19. yay! someone who knows champs! personally i prefer champs baby back ribs to Old South - but old South has it's merits.
  20. the bums around my job raid our trash cans for expired gourmet cheese and other imported goodies every couple of hours. apparently they sell what they find on the street. Most of them seem to be crackheads and heroin addicts tho. Not necessarily drunks. kinda like whoever breaks into Hosea Williams' turkey stash every damn year it seems the night before his Feed The Homeless Thanksgiving charity. Steal the turkeys and sell them. Lounge Lizard - that certainly was a harrowing tale. Nice work not falling off the wagon during this drama. I can't say i would have been as strong as you.

    coke or pepsi?

I was there many years ago and its a lot of fun, with Coke being dispensed by flying into your cup basically. They don't have different flavors of Coke (but this could have changed over the years) from around the world, but they do have flavors of other Coke products from many different countries. The only one I really remember was a Japanese Fanta which was some flower flavor, ugh, so bitter! maybe that's what it is then. i had heard some of the flavors were na acquired taste. you know...considering it's right around the corner from me, i really should go over there andhave a look one day.
  22. cadbury creme eggs.
  23. ooh...those sound good. but now i kind of want to make hot-cross buns. i'll have to hunt down a recipe.
