  1. i've tried to replicate bhutta many times. unfortunately it just doesn't work as well with american sweet corn.
  2. i can get you the tabasco flavored kind.
  3. i'll trade you a 6 pack of little ones for one big one.
  4. I'm jealous of oyu lesfen. I haven't had a creme egg in like a month.
  5. Ditto. My sister can't stand to be around me when I rip into these, as I have to bite off the end and slurp out the slimey sugary white (with spot of yellow yolk). Yes, definitely a perversion best enjoyed in private. I was all set to snag a few of these last week...walked into the candy aisle and they were nowhere to be seen. Only wretched caramel eggs, though I searched high and low. I almost cried. people either love or hate cadbury creme eggs. i personally don't know anyone else in the "love" category. except for you now, Knicke. Have you seen the little teeny creme eggs that come in their own egg carton? they're cute but not as satisfying as a regular creme egg. I'm going to have to see if i can find any half-off leftovers at the drugstore tonight.

why can't you make a proper coconut chutney in Canada lidiab?
  8. it's the devil.
  9. You know, we had some Italian Soda bottels at work for sampling. I don't know if all Italian sodas are "all natural" or if it was jsut this specific brand. either way, i found the taste to be very nice and mellow and they used real ingredients. My coworkers on the other hand, didn't like the soda at all. The kind we sampled was grapefruit. to me it tasted like fizzy ruby red cocktail. to them it was bitter and gross, and blah blah blah. I blame all of this on high fructose corn syrup.
  10. edge of diabetes, but not quite there yet.
  11. what an awesome experience. it';s been a while since i've gone to savannah. i'm going to have to make it out there sometime this summer i think.
  12. Now imagine the vibrant color of your grandmother's eyes on someone with persian coloring. as i said...fascinating. in any case - i'm glad to hear the indie theater is still there. i haven't been back in so long. I'm really tempted to come to town for the fair on of these years tho. i miss salt potatoes and sausage and peppers.
  13. But Phaelon - this kids eyes were royal blue, almost purple. Like fake colored contact eyes, but long before fake colored contacts came out. I'm glad el saha is doing so well - i have yet to find a pita down here that even compares. Granted the fact that factory was right down the street may have some bearing, but man - it was the chewiest fluffiest pita ever. I don't know how i feel about pavone's being a fixture everywhere. i'm guessing quality has been sacrificed to an extent. as for Manlius - at least when i lived there - it was quite insular. Most people went to the Golf Club (name escapes me - but everyone was a member) for fine dining and entertainment. other than that, Cazenovia and Skaneatles were where you went. I can't recall what Fayetteville has to offer but if i remember correctly not much. The high point of my Manlius life, aside from El Saha boy and the Pavones crew was the indie movie theater.
  14. sri lankans are in the porn trade? shocking!
  15. unless your more than 3 yards wide mark, they most likely do. i want a woodlands in Atlanta! i ate at this chain for the first time ever when i was in orlando, and the scene there is exactly as you describe the scene in DC. hmm...i wonder if they've got franchise opportunities.
  16. Not only are they still around but the minute you show up they've got a few guys ready to leer at you (one of my female colleagues used to be convinced that the same couple of good looking young Italian guys just circulated from one Pavone's mall location to another to serve as eye candy for the lady shoppers and wink at them). oh so the hot pizza guys weren't just a fixture at my Manlius Pavone's huh? I used to remember being rendered speechless going in there to pick up orders when i was in high school. Hey here's anopther question - how is El Saha doing? are they still baking pitas for everyone? the owner's son had the most fascinating blue eyes.

no problem sleepy_dragon - that's something my mom and i discovered years ago when we were trying to make dosa batter during a central New York winter. we actually had a kitchen setup where the microwave was above the oven. so what we did was put the batter in the microwave, and then turn the oven on to self-clean. the ambient heat from the self-cleaning process gave us just the right amount of fermented sour goodness.
  18. googling is okay, squeat. it's the clicking that will get ya everytime. and thomas kinkade is some sort of painter person. always english cottages with pretty rays of sunshine.
  19. What's the deal with Thomas Kinkade anyway? how did he become so popular? maybe he sold his soul for success. he might wind up being a dinner companion, tana.
  20. is heineken the plural? and then i would have to change don't to doesn't. not that i ever gave a damn about proper grammar, but still.
  21. Don't Heinekens come in 22oz bottles?
  22. I dunno Dave - I've already got an invite to Jasper Baptist and Shoney's. (i'm actually dead serious)
  23. i am in fact female. which may be why i don't really have a problem with it. I've got the privacy of a stall, and the comfort in knowing that there's someone there who's job it is to wipe down the seats after hover-ers.
  24. hey now - i live in georgia. and i don't know any snake-handlers. i will admit when i first moved down here, i used to get lots of people trying to bring me to their church. like random individuals. girls at grocery stores, guys on the street. i must have had the northern heathen stink on me.
